He checked to make sure it was unloaded by looking down the barrel

There is a teacher willing to go the extra mile to demonstrate for his class.

"Alcohol appears to have been a factor in the shooting, according to the sheriff’s office."

Now there's some sharp police work right there, I'm telling ya'

Reminds me of some words of wisdom in regards to gun safety I was once told. "The only guns that will accidentally shoot you are the ones not loaded."

Alcohol/Drugs + Firearms = FAIL (in the instant case...EPIC FAIL)!!!

Sad to see it happen yet again, but at the end of the day...the gene pool is far better off without that guy in it.

If you are convicted of multiple DUI's I know they have breathalyzers that they can interconnect to your car ignition. You blow into it and if you are over the limit, your car won't start. If you're a habitual drunk, you should probably put one of these on your gun safe. Just sayin'

Good grief, man!! Don't give the lib-tards any ideas or before you know it...you'll start seeing mandatory "Blow 'n Go" type devices (like what you descrived above) installed on trigger locks from the factory!! ;)

    "Blow 'n Go"

I had a gay flight attendant I was working with a few weeks ago describe something that he called the "blow and go" but it didnt have anything to do with guns or being safe.

    Smartass!! ;)

Different jurisdictions seem to refer to ignition interlock devices by different slang..."Blow 'n Go," "Blow Before You Go," "Auto/Car Breathalyzer," etc., etc.

And I wholeheartedly agree with the keyboard breathalyzer recommendation...it'd certainly help some folks around here who've done some major drunk typing! ;)

    Youtube or it didn't happen.

I blame the girl. I'm sure he knew it wasn't empty. He just wanted to fuck with her while he checked out on account of her making his miserable (hmm.. angst much?). Another example of why gun owners are smarter than others think we are...

Natural Selection, the big guy at work...to bad the GF and kids will have the fear of firearms re-enforced.
