I am the proud new owner of an ERS with G2 reticle.

I have just one quick question about the elevation turrets: How do you know when you're maxed out on elevation? Also, did I hurt the scope by turning the knob beyond the max (normally turrets just stop)

I checked the reticle movement after the fact and it appears to track fine still, but I just want to know you guy's experience to give me a little comfort.

thank you!

Kinda sorta. I can kinda feel now where resistance comes into play at the end, but the turret will still turn past that point (I am talking minimal resistance)

Those two little screws that hold the zero stop are coming loose. That's what happened on my XRS anyway. Once I tightened them down enough that they wouldn't come loose, that problem went away.

Yep. My XRS turret kept spinning past 30+ mils of travel. Didn't top out at all. Then when I checked the screws had come loose. I tightened them down enough they wouldn't come loose and my turret now tops out. After I zeroed my rifle and set the zero stop, I have 19 mils up, and the turret stops when I hit the top of the erectors travel.

Okay I appreciate the feedback! I will go home later tonight after work and try tightening the zero stop screws and see if that fixes it!

Okay. I bottomed out the Zero-Stop and tightened the screws. Now the elevation knob meets a lot of resistance (stops?) at 34 mils. Rotating it past that is hard; I assume this is the stop point?
