Rear monopod for McMillan A5 stocks?

I already have a wedge bag for my rifle but would also like to mount a monopod for those situations I want to use it or in case I leave my bag behind. The problem I've run into is that I can't find a good way to mount one. Looking at the Accu-shot website it seems that they have a rail mounted version and a sling swivel stud mount primarily. My A5 has a relatively flat section on the rear of the stock but only a sling swivel QD. Is there some adapter I can buy or some way to mount one here that I am overlooking?

I managed to find a picture of one online but there is no explanation as to which model it is or how they attached it. I hope I'm overlooking something simple.

Thanks for any help

I've designed a system that I would give away to any reputable stock manufacturer... If they gave me one of them. :) I've contemplated contacting McMillan or a manners to see if they would be interested. Probably just an idea, and that's as far as it will ever go. If not, I can be found here to discuss it.

You should check and see...definitely worth a shot.

I don't know about the adapter, but I had a rail mounted Accushot monopod on my A5 and it was very comfortable and easy to use. I prefer a bag but I also like having a monopod just in case. If you go with the rail mount, you'll be happy.

The rail came mounted by GAP with two small screws, nothin fancy. I wish I had some pics of it. Hell, I wish I still had that rifle! It was mounted towards the rear most portion of the stock on the flat bottom. It didn't get in the way and still allowed for use of a rear bag.
