Is this thing needed?, can we just delete it? I replaced my barrel with LRI unit and shoots great but that little flimsy wire ring bugs me. Anyone deleted it??

Ridged split ring halves ("thermal bushing")? Necessary for stock handguard. Thin wire ring that I couldn't tell where it dropped out of when I removed my handguard? Deleted. Asked some RPR handguard manufacturers if it was necessary to replace and they indicated not.
Thin wire ring is it, item 87 on the parts break down. It goes in front of the barrel shoulder.
my mistake on the thermal bushing, delete that statement.
I did it when I replaced the barrel with one from PVA.it is the most accurate rifle I've owned.
