LMT MWS Bartlein .260 barrel shoots!!!

After many months wait, I finally got my .260 barrel back from Jeff Hayes at Rivers Bend Gun Company. It is 20" with .875" SLR adjustable gas block and threaded 5/8x24. I have shot 140 hornady bhp, 130 berger ar hybrid, and 140 berger hvld all with H4350. Everything seams to shoot extremely well. I have had many groups in the .2's and .3's and had one exceptional group with 140 vld that measured .095". I wish I could figure out how to post pictures on here. Those are truly amazing groups. I also wish you could figure out how to post pictures. Most of us have struggled just to get our LMT MWS's to consistantly shoot under an inch. Did Jeff Hayes require a donor barrel?

yes, I sent him the cl barrel it came with, then I went a bought a factory ss .308 match barrel hoping that would shoot. (not so much) I shoot way more .308 than I ever will .260 so looking to get rid of this .260 barrel to fund a .308 barrel job.

Jeff does need your barrel extension, as it is proprietary. That said, my factory barrel shoots 1/2 inch or better. Ive replaced the gas key and used a heavy buffer as well as spring from heavy buffers.com that greatly improved recoil and overgassing affecting accuracy. This link is my post about it.

The gas key I used was sun devil manufacturing and rubber city armory. Rubber city is a better design because it has a a retention screw on the gas key.

All my work will go to Jeff once I need a new set of barrels. Am glad to see good reviews on his work.
