What do you mean by "quick ranging"? The L bracket breaking to .1 mil like the MSR or the little lines for like a neck to waist measurement for quick man sized targets? Those little lines getting closer together at the bottom are about useless unless you plan to shoot human sized targets and shooting minute of man. Having a reticle with the lower quadrant hold marks or Christmas tree is far more useful in matches or shooting in general. Having the L bracket is nice if you plan to use the reticle for ranging but some reticles have that breakdown as well as the Christmas tree like the Vortex 2C or 7 reticle. You have .1 mil marks on the outer edges and a the Christmas tree. Also the 7 has .2 mil marks on the horizontal for ease of breakdown.
