So apparently I have to go to Portland next month....

I cant speak for the Portlandians but I like it. Some good restaurants in Portland. The King Salmon should be running, Enjoy.

Ya'll are definitely onto a good roll here,,, I like it. Thing is, so does My Lady. She's looking to 'up' her wardrobe. As it is, today's shirt for her is Chris Kyle's "The Legend" shirt with The Punisher skull on it too.

Keep it up, y'er costin' me money!

Provocative behaviors have predictable consequences.

Think upon this, instead.

Your have been bestowed with an enviable opportunity to pass among your detractors. Consider a more stealthy approach, and be more truly subtle in your 'resistance'.

...But if you can't manage that, consider bumping the throttle a bit and engaging in some truly admirable crop dusting.

I would...

Hell, I do....

I lived in the Portland area for decades. If you really want to know some interesting places to eat, shop, see, let me know what you are interested in, and I will be happy to help you out. It is an easy city to get fat from eating in. Obviously, the libtards would be easy to tweak and trigger. I prefer keeping a low profile, going to the places that interest or amuse me, and ignoring the weirdos. You can actually have lots of fun there.

Gun clubs that are interesting are Douglas Ridge rifle club near Estacada (also called Incestacada), they have a legit 1000 yard rifle range. Tri-County gun club has a 600 yard range. Both clubs have some shooting events for non members. A couple of hours north of Portland is Upper NIsqually sportsman's club. They have a 550 yard range with a bunch of steel on it that members (like me) can bring guests to shoot on (like you). If you are interested, I can even bring rifles and ammo for both of us...just hospitality from the Northwest.

I now live a couple hours north of Portland in the puget sound area, but would be happy to take you to the range shooting for a diversion. Let me know if I can give you info about Portland...

How cool would it be to wait for a straggler and slap a MAGA sign on his back . Very loudly exclaim go get em tiger pumping him up while drawing attention to him . And should the stars align get to watch the pack turn on him and beat em within an inch of puberty .

Thanks for the info. When we go next month I'm just straggling along with the wife for a conference she has to keep her oncology license requirements up to date. I'll be downtown laying around and eating mainly. I doubt we'll leave the city.

However, what do you know about Lake Osweego? Wife wanted to go back to get some sort of cabin or something on the water for a few days, but outside of that and going to Tilamook, I have zero ideas of what to do, where to go, eat, etc in that area.

Stay away from Lake Oswego, it's a boring suburb of PDX. If you want to hang by the water for a few days go out to Cannon Beach or Oceanside and get a cabin. First go up to Timberline Lodge and stay a night on Mt. Hood. Ski on the Palmer glacier if you're into that and then head to the coast and surf or chill on the beach.
Go to the Deschutes brewery downtown while she is working...

If youre into something a bit different, from downtown go due west, up the hill to the Japanese Zen Gardens, reputed to be the 2nd nicest in the US. If you time it right you can watch the sun come up over Mt. Hood. Then walk back down the hill and tour the International Rose Garden. Might be something the Mz. would like before her conference.

I concur that Lake Oswego isn't a place to relax. It's just a affluent suburb of Portland. Making the trip to the coast is well worth it since the time of year is right. Lots of good microbrewers in Portland. Rogue Brewery out in Astoria is a great stop. (Very vet friendly also.) If you don't hit the coast the Air museum in McMinville (cant remember the name of it) is worth the day. They have lots to see, and the Spruce Goose is the centerpiece. I lived up that way for 4 years while in school and like others have mentioned, it is a weird town with lot of unique characters. If you like deep fried, glazed gluten Voodoo donuts is always worth the stop. (lines to get in can be long at peak times) Especially if you want to people watch and see some of the craziest sons of bitches you will every see. A maple bar with bacon strips, a cup of coffe, and a seat outside watching the parade of crazy characters can waste an entire morning.
