I am ready to order my AXMC (been wanting one for years). I am torn between the FDE or field drab and the pale brown. Anybody have examples of both colors on the AX? Thanks.

I like the Dark Earth and the new Elite Sand over the traditional Pale Brown, but that new Sage Green has me giddy. Good luck with your decision, it has to be your choice in the end and you better be happy with your choice at that price. I guess at the end of the day, regardless of which color you choose, you will still be winning because you'll own a AXMC.
That Maverick is a good color. So that is considered AI's FDE or field drab. I don't think the Elite Sand color is available yet is it?
I think you'll find field drab is just the closest cerakote color to their new dark earth, unless I'm missing something I don't think they offer one called field drab. My understanding is that the current available colors are black, dark earth, pale brown, and sage green.
I had a 2014 pale brown short action and it looked really nice, there's a lot of pics out there of this color. The Dark Earth is new though and IMO looks better than Pale Brown. To me it's closer to typical coyote brown colors vs FDE but they all vary so much across the industry. If you look at the product pages on the Euro Optic site they have actual professional pics of the colors and are accurate to my eyes.
No matter what color you get it's going to look badass and you'll be happy with it. If you can't settle on just one color then it's a good reason to buy two.
