I picked the rifle up from the classifieds used and setup it up as follows.

CZ 455
Boyds Tacticool Stock
Guardian Suppressor
DIP 25 MOA Rail
Fedderson 16" Barrel

Unfortunately I do not have pics of all the work / progress with the rifle, but I do have a few.
There is still plenty of work left to do, but this is what has been done so far.

Reworking factory bolt for better mating surfaces.
Tuning the firing pin strike on the case head
Bed pillars into stock
Bed action in stock
Milled barrell channel to 1"
Machined a block of aluminum to insert in forend of stock which studs thread into

Before any work was done this is what the rifle would do.

50 yards with SK Standard +

100 yards with SK Standard + (Best group I had, most others were about 3-4" vertical spread)

After some tedious work had been done this is what it is doing currently.

A picture of the rear pillar my friend made for me. (This was before grooves were cut into it for the epoxy)

Barrel channel freshly milled out to 1" to house my .889" Fedderson barrel with a hair more clearance.

Firing pin tuning for a more consistent strike of the primer.

70 yards with SK Standard +
(Middle group was shot by a friend)

100 yards with SK Standard +

No longer have this photo because of photobucket, but groups were anywhere between 1" and 1.75". 5 shots 20 rounds.

Lastly, the rifle.

This is not my first rimfire rifle or CZ 455 for that matter, but certainly the most accurate one I have had the pleasure of shooting. I hope this rifle enjoys Lapua Center X as much as the last few I had, because I have a few thousand to be delivered today for testing.

Sorry guys, working on it now. Photobucket isn't letting me download the 10 years worth of pictures I have on it either... Kinda pissed about that situation.

Start transferring them to Imgur. I have been doing it when I need a pic that I have on Photobucket I have to my computer and put on my Imgur account. Screw Photobucket now.

Photobucket won't let me DL my pictures to my computer. However, lets not make this thread about that.

Open image, right click, hit "save image as", and save it. Simple.

Awesome to see. I've seriously considered a Fedderson barrel for my 455 because of what I've heard and that he's pretty local to me. Good to see an actual experience.

I hope to have good weather this weekend to test some Lapua Center X at 100 yards. If I can keep the rifle consistently under 1" vertical I will be happy. If not I may try a few more ammo types or a custom cut benchmark barrel.

After a lot of should searching I went with a Fedderson on my CZ455 build. A lot of RF "aficionados" told me it was a big mistake. They were wrong. With Wolf Match Extra I am able to hit very small chips of clay birds at 100 yards with no effort. These little 455's are fun! I have two now and am really having a ball with shooting them.

If the Fedderson barrel works for you then I am glad to hear it! Having said that I always take what I read and hear with a grain of salt, I hope to be satisfied with this barrel. I just need a bit more testing at longer ranges with better ammo to be sure. Also I have been torn between purchasing something for off hand shooting like the TacSol X Ring or another 455 Lux or FS. Practicing irons is something I have been lacking for a long time. Doubt I could hit a squirrel without a scope these days.

I´m in the same quest right now. I picked up a 455 lux I got super cheap and ordered pillars, the cz fly trigger, boyds stock and I got stuck on the barrel. I can't decide if I should spend the extra bucks on a Lilja barrel or just order the factory varmint barrel. It´s just a trainer, but I like all my rifles to be tack drivers. I just don't want to buy a factory varmint barrel to throw it in a drawer and end up buying the lilja anyways.

If someone can give me some input on the factory barrel quality it would be very much appreciated. I currently shoot a 10/22 with a lilja barrel, same boyds tacticool stock and kidd trigger and it is a real shooter.
