I just picked up $2,000 worth of new cell phones and associated tsotchkes, and on the way back out the door there tonight, the missus pointed something out to me:

Thats funny. Sort of. In a sad way.

Did you return all the gear?

We're stuck with it for now, I think, until I can find a way to do something in keeping with my values. Had I noticed it on the way in yesterday, I would have taken a different course. Anybody know of a 2A friendly cell provider?

And....once again, the only people that will abide by that rule are ? Buehler ? Buehler ?

Only conservative provider I'm aware of is Patriot Mobile, heard about them on Hannity and considering a move if I can make the finances work.

That sign is for suckers. Purely for liability reasons. Fucking lawyers somehow think that if a "active shooter" event happens in that store and they don't have a sign like that they will be liable. I guess I see it the opposite way. No sign means I can defend myself.

I am just waiting for someone to sue because of the sign. I mean if you disarm someone are you not now responsible for their safety. That is my understanding/belief of why all the 9-11 victims families got payouts-- failure of security.

One of the sticking points for Utah to get CCW years ago was that some lawmakers felt if a CCW holder lost their mind and shot someone (or more) the state would be liable for allowing said person to carry a gun. State AG made it clear that the state just had to prove they did their diligence in make sure the person was of "sound mind" at the time of permit issue.

Rather then try to prevent (impossible) or stop something from happening, the mind set is "how do we pay the victims the least amount".

The best part is every other sign in the window has some type of border or color so you can see them.
That sign is clear with nearly opaque lettering.
It's like "We put a sign up, sorry you didn't see it ".

If you think T-Mobile is bad just because of a sign that means nothing, I suggest you dig into Verizon an AT&T an see who they supported in the last election. Then get the stats on how many of their field engs have been killed do to their company policy's. After that look at how many Verizon & AT&T folks just short of retirement have been fired for or laid off so they don't have to pay their retirement.
I could care less about signs, as I carry everywhere. If there is a metal detector I just switch tactics an weapons but I never go unarmed. I'll take my chances with the court system.

lol @ shit written on signs that aren't legally binding

Unfortunately, the sign is legally binding, no matter how much any of you would like to think otherwise:
(b) Defiant trespasser.--
(1) A person commits an offense if, knowing that he is not licensed or privileged to do so, he enters or remains in any place as to which notice against trespass is given by:
...
(ii) posting in a manner prescribed by law or reasonably likely to come to the attention of intruders;

That sucks. Not noticing a sign = criminal trespass up there. Here its criminal trespass if asked to leave and you don't.

I understand that. Tresspassing charge will not get my CCW taken away so i choose to ignore. Incidents that have been reported/made public have always involved asking the person to leave. No citation given.

The LDS church does a really nice display of lights for Christmas in SLC. Temple square is the location., Church leaders are scared shitless (rightfully so probably) that the Temple is a major target for attack. Last year my friend and his family (8 adults) went. My friend printed more than he should have. With in a few sec he was surrounded. He actually thought for a split second he was being attacked. One asked if he had a firearm. Yes was the answer.

He was asked to take the firearm back to his car before returning to enjoy the festivities. He did, his brother inlaw is a LEO and chatted with security while my friend left and came back. All 8 adults had firearms, along with probably another 1000 in the crowd. They are only worred about what they see.

Your state and local attitude may differ.

I agree with you. Posting it like that is some passive assertive bullshit. Make it obvious so that everyone going in is aware of it and has a moment to consider its implications.

Doesn't carry the force of law in FL. I use TMobile. Never noticed a sign. I'll try to remember to look next time.

My state law may be a tad different but...

criminal Trespass does NOT apply as you are there for lawful business and the only way you are given notice of a criminal treapass is that you re-enter the premises after being told NOT to and given a written/verbal notice by LEO.
