Yep im on it to just need to make a few calls on Monday

With the exception of this thread and a few videos on YouTube no one is talking about this bill. Not even a mention. The NRA doesn't have anything as of yet on its website. It's as if nobody cares that it passes.

They have and they've shown their true colors. However my point is no one cares that this bill will very likely get passed. I've seen nothing about this anywhere. Why? This bill will basically end private ownership of any semi auto firearm in short time. Btw, you guys enjoy running a can on your AR? That increases rate of fire, got to go.

    Signed it.

Love the wording at the end of the bill, "...to prevent semi-automatics from functioning like machineguns, and FOR OTHER PURPOSES."

What other purposes? What devices? What next?

You guys planning on turning in your triggers, or you plan on using your newfound felonhood in a new way?

That's a great question, and hopefully everyone is sharing this with others.
Thanks to all who are signing this and spreading the word about this horrible bill.

I'll sticky this and copy it over to the semi-auto forum. Sticky will be removed when the threat has been neutralized.

Watching this whole "sign this vote that protest there" events is funny. You think signing a digital piece of paper is going to stop the gubs from having their way? Trump is going to sell you out like a brand new prostitute. And now you dont even have the big bad NRA to back you up.

It's more about unity and spreading the word because there's no excuse for inaction. What they want is for hunters, shooters and competitors to be divided.
    The threat is real!

    Also the other Bills introduced
    HR 4025 and HR 4052

They can pass all the laws they want.

When the SAFE act passed in NY amid a cloud of subterfuge and controversy, the people and the County Law Enforcement folks uttered a collective yawn and totally ignored it. Encumbered to register all firearms conforming to an extensive list of "assault weapons", maybe a few thousand, probably less than 20,000, were registered; mainly by state officials themselves, and a few weak minded quitters; this in a state purported to contain several million conforming firearms.

They can provoke the mice to bell the cat, but the cat still appears to have all its claws and fangs intact, and the bells mostly fall by the wayside in windrows.

The people will hear and interpret according to how they see doing the right thing should be interpreted. The left is a noisy annoyance, replete with its shills and nosy do-gooders, but when they push their agenda, people take note, take names, and things happen; like the most recent presidential election happened.

The Evolution is not over, it's just getting out of the blocks. The Swamp is draining, inexorably, day by day...

The difference between a Revolution and an Evolution is that Revolutions get preempted, go sideways, and become one brief incident in a litany of hard lessons visible only in the rear view mirror. Evolution has a single direction, stands as the foundation of an intrepid path, replicating true, and guiding further steps in a direction that succeeds or fails solely on its manner of appropriate relevance.

A free people, intelligently armed, is not some passive mass fearfully awaiting its ultimate intimidation.

Gun control is treason, plain and simple; no matter how brightly it's wrapped and sweetly scented.

I have friends who are casual gun owners- they don't understand why I feel we need to fight all anti gun stuff- especially the bump stock.

Anyone can google and read about the BATFE classifying a shoe string as a machine gun when applied on a semi auto....

    We need to
1- educate ourselves- gun folks on forums
2- encourage everyone to spend a few $$$ and get an instructor rating.... I get asked gun questions by everyone... I am not a Gun nut in the office... I am the instructor who can answer questions
3- we need to educate our circles of influence- offer to take 100 people shooting per year- let them know they can ask you questions about guns and such- educate them on what is happening in California... Stealing a gun under $950 in value is no longer a felony and you get a ticket and a court date. Governor want to over turn mandatory minimums on gun related violent crimes as it keeps people in prison too long- Governor want to ban all mags over 10 rounds that people owned before the year 2000 and ban all semi auto rifles. New handguns are not safe and are not for sale unless they include 1) microstamping on primer and case 2) pass a drop test 3) pass several other destructive tests 4) have a magazine disconnect 5) have a loaded chamber indicator.

The Cancer in CA.... the 1989 assault weapon ban became the federal 1994 federal ban. It will happen again

It's on NRA's site now along with a couple others, one is actually a good one. I saw it when I went to respond to a couple local ones. The NRA way makes it much faster and easier than trying to do 'em all one at a time. You can use their letter, edit it or write your own.

It's so easy there's no reason to NOT respond to this. It's just too damn easy.

A lot of local reps and senators got back to very fast and were against the local legislation; the couple that were for it sent some form letter (they all use the same it appears, federal or local, Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell both use the same nicely worded "screw gun owners but thanks for writing" response).

I count on most of you for federal shit though: I have Cantwell AND Murray for senators, and for some reason I have Denny Heck as a rep. The guy's a dick. He's also the rep. for JBLM, a VA hospital, 3-5 local ranges (probably the most in any district in WA) I don't know how many surplus, tactical gear and firearms stores, not to mention a high density of manufacturers and dealers. Yet we have the most anit-gun democreep waterboy you can imagine --he consistently votes for all democrap shit, and against everything else, line item. He votes against gun owners and vets vehemently --who constitute 80% of his total constituency I'd wager to guess. So until we unfuck basic shit like this, we're screwed. The guy he replaced wasn't like this IIRC.

They have already initiated a nationwide march, i fear the days draws closer when our 2A laws will become void.

We all need to stay together and with one voice push back aginst this movement. If we could organize a march of our own or put together a rally to get our message out I mean where is the NRA on this?

I am all in, the gunowner/firearms community is so quite the average lefty prolly think we are taking a piss. But airing our views would be a game changer.

The sad part is that so many on the other don't know anything about what they're talking about and they don't WANT to know.

The plan of those in power (& who are against guns) is to do using small incremental steps. Can't let it happen.
