Damn, Cali is getting burnt to a crisp.

I love California wine and want to take a trip to wine country there someday with my leading lady, but I'll hold off on that for a while. The biggest tragedy is the deaths, last I saw it crested 40 with many more missing, folks were really getting caught off guard by the rapidly spreading blazes.

I did get a laugh though about the numerous recreational pot farms that also went up in smoke, right before harvest season as they took a gamble on getting ready for Cali's legalization taking effect in 2018. No crop insurance available either, oh fucking well...

Yeah, seeing how quickly that shit moved, and from what I've read the first line of notifications went out over SMS/E-mail at ~1:30AM which is fucking purely inadequate, I wouldn't be surprised if that number crept towards 100 or more as folks get to digging through the ashes.

And today, an illegal Mexican is being held for several acts of arson in Sonoma County... but the California LE won't put a hold on him for ICE... and are saying they are letting him go... Even though he was caught coming out of the woods with a plume of smoke behind him... and stating that he lit the fire. And he is likely responsible for more than one fire!

Burn Cali, burn! And it's even sweeter that one of your own little buddies lit the fire.

Oh and I have sooooo much sympathy for all the Marijuana growers who have lost their crops. Wahhhhhhh.

Did I mention... burn???

Cheers,

Sirhr

P.S. I will say that a buddy of mine, ex-nav-spec-war guy from Coronado... sent me a note that his parents lost their homestead and small vineyard. So not everyone out there is a scumbag. I feel bad for them... he has a lot of buddies coming up to help out. And they will be ok in the long run. But he lost his childhood home... and his parents lost everything. It tempers my glee over the situation. The good news is that they were insured... all are safe. And they will rebuild.

Fuck that entire state.

I will say it right now and right here: I hope the whole fucking thing burns to a crisp all the way to the coast. And I say that having relatives (including my libtard brother) there.

The unmitigated arrogance and disdain that Californians have long displayed towards flyover country is coming back to haunt them in spades.

You know they're just gonna move out to Tx, right? That filth will spread faster than the fires what dislocated them!

I would die laughing if there's a cartel link, putting the new weed growers out before they get started. It would be pretty difficult to prove he lit any of the fires that turned big though, so I'm not hopeful they'll be able to take it anywhere other than the single fire they witnessed and promptly extinguished.

I absolutely wouldn't be surprised if ANTIFA was involved though, or environmental terrorists, or 99%-ers, or someone who's wife drinks too much wine, or just a regular old arsonist who likes to watch shit burn and burn big. That's pretty common in SOCAL, especially when the Santa Ana winds get blowing.

I was told that it was an undocumented individual who had set many fires. Here's our answer to the situation:

Send 'em all back!

Strapped in a Flintstone's car, placed on a Hot Wheel's track, ending in an Evil Knievel ramp, aiming over(kinda, depending on wind) a Trump Wall!

I got dibs on the popcorn concession!

Will Texas get renamed as Texafornia?

I don't think that's the name they'd choose, but it's a possibility. I have GOT to find a way to light a fire under the asses of everyone who has a stake in this.

There's lines that need held, and few holdin' 'em.

I'm from California, moved to Texas when I was 22, been here 15 years now. I'll take the tornados and severe thunderstorms over the fires any day. I remember the pines fire ripping through wild cat canyon killing almost 30 people most didn't even make it out of bed. I don't miss the fires one bit.

Well, we've got our share of fires down here, too. Not on the level of those West-ly fuckers, but I've found myself on the edge of some glowing horizons that smell like burning pine trees a time or two. Typically measured in acres, not square fuckin' miles.

I sympathize with the folks doing this shit... That's a really uncomfortable experience.

For anyone that thinks that Texas doesn't get burned...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Texas_wildfires

During 2011 in Texas, around 31,453 fires had burned 4,000,000 acres or 16,190 square kilometres[SUP][2][/SUP] (about double the previous record), 2,947 homes[SUP][2][/SUP] (1,939 of which were destroyed over the Labor Day weekend), and over 2,700 other structures.[SUP][3][/SUP] 47.3% of all acreage burned in the United States in 2011 was burned in Texas.

My Brother in Law was the assistant Head Park Ranger at Bastrop State Park when it went up...

Oh I know Texas gets them too, but I've never seen a Texas fire like a California fire. I remember the 2011 Texas fires well.

Talked to my mother about this the other day. She mentioned this area was full of conservative, normal folks. That could have changed since, she lived in the area in the early 70's when my father was stationed there.

Neil boortz on the radio shortly after Katrina. “”Houston, you have a problem””. Followed with the updated crime stats from time to time. I suppose you can’t drown rats.
