Cost to spin up a blank for an 6.5 CM semi

My guess is about the same as spinning up a barrel for a bolt gun. $350-400 or so. I actually have a barrel at a smith for this as we speak but I guess I didn't actually ask him what it costs.

Would recommend JP barrel extension and HP bolt. More important done right than cheap-have had both versions. Get gas port right, headspaced to your bolt and clear assurance that the bullets you want to shoot will feed correctly and that feed cone is appropriate to do so. Would highly recommend Josh Kunz at Patriot Valley Arms for the job.

That's the plan if I go this route. I don't know of any off-the-shelf option to get a 1-7/7.5 twist rate. I'll just figure $450 as a budgetary number per Bigjake.

Patriot Valley will do you a cut rifled Rock Creek 6.5cm barrel headspaced to your bolt +2 gas with gas tube around the $600 mark if you supply the JP barrel extension... I know they have some of these blanks in stock.

I'm shooting a 22" and it's a hammer. Shooting 140 ELD's with H4350

Prefer BAT Extensions why? I'm curious

every BAT extension I've handled or had barrels spun on was sharp as hell. Taking nasty deep scrapes out of the neck and shoulder of my brass. BAT Extensions I've seen that dont do this were specifically polished by the Smith to prevent this.

That's why I've switched and only go JP now because they come polished and QPQ coated..

The JP Barrel Extension is the way to go especially if you plan to use a JP HP Bolt, But The BAT Extension CLE uses are polished and deburred.
