Mods, if this isn’t allowed I apologize

Caught the tail end of the news this morning and it seems our beloved Mr. President is at a war of words again with Rocket Man. From what I saw, he told NK that our WMD’s actually work and he has a button too. (If anyone has a news link feel free to post)

I for one see both both good and bad to this; we are not backing down to this little turd and aren’t taking his crap, but on the other hand is threatening him with nuclear weapons poking the bull?

The media is having a heart attack over this from what I saw.

The further he gets pushed in his war of rhetoric... the more its shown that Emperor Rocket Man has not clothes. Every time he opens his mouth, we have an excuse to turn the screws tighter. And push China to turn the screws tighter... or turn the screws tighter on China... for not turning the screws tighter on North Korea!

For 70 years, the NK have used bluster, rhetoric and this kind of BS to extort the West for food, fuel air cover every time their bankrupt system fails to feed their people and prop up a dynasty and cult-of-personality. Making the guy look like an idiot... and pushing his buttons (so to speak) keeps chipping at his facade.

We've caved for three generations. Now we're not caving. In the same way that Reagan 'called out' the Soviet Union and called them an Evil Empire and called to "Tear Down That Wall" and we revealed the chinks in their armor. And, you will recall that the pundits, nattering classes, drunk Teddy Kennedy, and New York Times liberals... in their conventional wisdom and cookie-pushing diplomat panty-waist style, said we were going to get in a nuclear war because of that 'harsh talk."

North Korea is no longer isolated. The Internet is creeping in. Thumb drives are like currency... with Western movies, TV and news on them. The Army is starving and unhappy. Pyongyang is like the capital in The Hunger Games... but is a bubble that is not sustainable... And little Kim doesn't have the age or gravitas to be have the respect of the people. He may be consolidating power by executing his relatives... he thinks. But he is one 'flick' away from being toast.

Let the games continue... If we'd turned Hitler into a laughing stock instead of being all 'Fraidy Cat and bowing to his power and bluster... he'd have likely been a non-entity in history. If we had continued with Detente... we'd still have a Soviet Union and an Eastern Europe under Communism. Kim Jong whackjob is on the way out. Tick Tock.....

    Cheers,

    Sirhr

Oh, and what he said is that he has a bigger button, it is connected to more powerful weapons... and his button works. The Fake News, as usual, is spinning it to make Trump look like a warmonger. This is strategic... and I guarantee these Tweets are being screened, pre-checked and tweaked by psychologists and military experts... for effect. Both domestic and on NK. Here is the actual 'Tweet.'

    Sihr,

Thanks for adding the tweet. I concur on everything you said, as You put it better then I ever could. It feels as if for once in a long time, we are showing the world we have a spine and have a leader who isn’t afraid to tell the world not to fuck with us. I just disagree on how the media and whoever else is using this to try to make our President to be a warmonger and leading us towards a nuclear war. I have never seen such hatred and discontentin my lifetime towards a sitting president who is trying to better our country

30 minutes after the tweet Kim said he wants to talk to S Korea. Just an odd coinky dink I guess.

Kim needs to save face before his military and people give him an El Douche Party.

The media is having a heart attack over this from what I saw.

Relax. This is the same media that is also today comparing Trump's blocking of a few people on his Twitter account to Iran blocking access of its people to the entire social media internet, and concluding that makes him a hypocrite for criticizing them.

If nothing changes, I think the real danger is lil Kim will try to take us with him once he realizes NK has imploded. I still think his generals will take him out before it goes too far.

Maybe Trump isn't really speaking to (just) Kim....

There is a compelling thought floating around right now that Kim is not 100% in control.

As the argument goes, he has had nukes and the ability to miniaturize since mid 2000's / that nuke material is coming from Iran, and the billions in cash flown into Iran, drug rat line was related thereto / given that his missile program has languished and that each launch isn't exactly cheap for a nation of starving folks, the sudden frequent uptick is interesting - he made 3 in 2012, 4 in 2016 and 11 in 2017 / in addition to the manufacturing output, their tech skill - guidance and general success rate is gaining exponentially / coincidentally his testing mountain (was) collapsed

The argument links Obama's nixing of NASA, the demise of ULA (JV between Boeing and Lockheed Martin), McCain running interference which then gave DoD launches to Space X, and the selling of secrets.

One thing is for sure, the MSM has manipulated Kim's willingness to talk all along.

It's a compelling argument that is at least worth looking into. I do not claim that it is accurate. I also do not discount it at this point in history.

Fuck rocket-BOY. Korea has been going on for 68 years. The problem has been passed from one President to the next. Supposedly we do not negotiate with terrorists, yet every time NK has threatened to attack we (the world) have given in. We have given NK tons and tons of supplies (oil, food) to stop him from making weapons, yet here we are.

Giving Hitler Czechoslovakia did little to appease that shit head.

Everytime NK needs something they have to raise the stakes. Well now it is time to put up or shut up.

The Fact is that the first person to push the button will be the asshole in the eyes of the world. No different than two men having an argument on the street, no problem until on starts swinging. So we need Rocket-BOY to push his button so we can wipe his ass off the planet, OR Rocket-BOY needs to shut the fuck up.

If you are going through your daily life in fear of NK then I feel bad for you. If Rocket-Boy presses the button and Trump gets blamed for antagonizing Rocket-BOY well that is just BULLSHIT. I can not MAKE you do anything and you are responsible for your actions. Same concept here, he does what he does and we do what we need to do.

I do not support a preemptive strike, I believe Rocket-BOY needs to act first.

NK is holding a hard line that they can not win.

No other country I can think of is holding such a hard line anymore. Not Vietnaim, Not China, Not Russia. NK could be a rich country, they are 50 years behind the rest of the industrial world in so many ways. But rocket-Boy wants power, he would lose power if his people became wealthy from tourism, and manufacturing.

The trouble with "Ive got a bigger button" is that in a atomic war everybody loses. While I would never suggest surrendering our authority to robots (or the UN) I think that the message here is very valid. The movie brought back a lot of memories, like sitting in my Dad's lap watching it and wondering if we were all about to die.

I for one see winning, he is driving leftist and weak kneed lily livered worry warts to lose their minds and wring their hands, that communist fuk face clapper, on CNN giveing statements about how dangerous it is , same guy didn't say a goddamn thing about uranium one and iran deal. I hope he drives them to mass suicide. THe media are physically breathless. its hilarious.

Lil Kim, well WGAF what he thinks, troll away Trumpman, Poke that "bull" ???,,,,,really???? "bull"???? that little fat fuker is more like a pygmy piglet.

well, some lose more than others, losing is relative. We will lose less than all others.

Well, I am guessing only one of us looked across the Colburg border from the top of a mountain on a winter night at 200k Russians with NVG's and NV scopes. I wish we invented 30 cal nuke rounds, or at least 20 mm nuke rounds, I am a firm believer in nuke warfare, it can be won. Dont be a puss, that attitude gave us Korea 1, Vietnam, and all wars since, all because our pussy ass Presidents would rather waste american boys than win.

    Maggot said:

That's true... but allow me to throw out a most cynical, but potentially amusing scenario....

First, the U.S. is totally unlikely to respond to a strike by the NK's with nukes. In the Gulf War, the U.S. plan was to drop the dams on the Tigris and Euphretes and put Baghdad under 12 feet of water. We'd have killed most of the population... but would not have responded with Nukes.

If Kim Jong Bowlcut fires off a nuke... IMHO, we will respond conventionally. And raze Pyongyang and everything North of the DMZ in a spectacular flash of Octol and PBXN-107... along with Fuel-Air's... We don't need a nuke to take out Pyongyang. The city is smaller than Lynchburg, VA.

Now consider our 'damage' if we get hit in a first strike... The accuracy of NK delivery systems is such that our odds of anything serious happening is negligible. And let's consider the ramifications of a hit on CONUS... or on one of our islands. Yeah... bad. Hundreds of thousands dead. More likely tens of thousands Huge hit to economy and to, perhaps, some manufacturing or technology... Probably replaceable.

And the complete removal of the gloves. And a complete repudiation of all the whiny, bitchy, endless nattering about the importance of defense and national when it comes to foreign enemies. And domestic ones.

If we're really lucky, it lands on San Francisco!

Agreed, Maggot. Noone wins. Well, unless you read Hermann Kahn. Who made pretty interesting arguments in On Thermonucler War and On Escalation. Thinking the Unthinkable is also a classic. All things that... well... we don't want to think about. But have to.

So a Kim Jong lash-out is a pinprick. Unless, of course, it lands on one of us. But it's still a pinprick in the grand scheme of the USA. And we can answer the pinprick with a conventional sledgehammer. And the world will have to sit back and shut their collective pie-holes. And they'll need to keep those pie-holes shut for at least 2 generations.

    Cheers,

    Sirhr

You're also forgetting the many Arleigh Burke class destroyers with anti-ballistic missile capability that we have floating around the world.

The Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force also has Aegis-equipped destroyers of their own design and I would not be surprised at all if we've helped them set up at least one of them with our ABM capability.

I will put good money on any real launch out of NoKo not making it halfway across the Pacific.

I have little doubt that one or more AB cruisers are positioned off of the east coast of NK to catch their “ICBM” during the boost phase when they are the most vulnerable. A few years ago we knocked one of our own satellites out of orbit on a laughably plausible excuse just to show the world what an SM-3 can do.

I hope the decision makers understand NK is China's pawn. What does China hope to get out of the possible outcomes? Knowing that would be very valuable.

If we're patinet mabe rocket boy will solve the problem himself.

We could nuke Kim and not destroy the world. Scenario; NK sends nuke to US. It matters not if it hits or not we still retaliate. Now China and Russia will be getting a few nuke clouds (because of their own games with NK). So China and Russia need to make a decision if they want to let it slide or end life on earth as we know it. They are not going to destroy the world over NK, no way. They will cry rattle sabers and moan but will do nothing. Why? Because they are not stupid.

Kim is stupid so the scenario is very possible. China and Russia know this that is why they are getting more on board with sanctions. Seizing oil tankers is an act of war, but so far China is quiet. Because they are not stupid. Our problem was that the world knew our past presidents were weak and would not exercise the power they held. No matter what. With Trump they think he will. You can have all the nukes in the world. But if folks know you won't use them, they are worthless.

Im sure they are all thinking about it..............but no one wants to be the first to bring it up for fear of ending up on a meathook
    like Hitler's boys..............

Yes because we have been so successful with these ass hats over the last 40 years it is a damn shame Trump is changing tactics........

That kids is known as óáñêáóìüò

My thinking, unless Trump is defeated at home by the swamp, Fatty will be dead via coup by mid summer.

Guarantee China a 50 mile demilitarized zone, 25 miles north of the reunified Korean border and 25 miles south of the reunified border.

Remove all US troops from new reuniified Korean peninsula. (Put same on North and South US Border)

Assure China the US will politic for Japans military to remain defensive in posture.

Warn China every step from routes into Korea from China will be targeted by cruise missiles.

Tell China building Islands in the middle of open ocean does not constitute a territorial claim. If they cant understand that ask if they have seen our new Hawaiin Island - Taiwan.

    China will get on board.

I like most of this. Need to keep usa in Korea though

It in the end always requires boots on the ground but until that point..........

Let the Northern border be our winter/temperate training zone while the southern border is our desert/ arid training area.

Bring the troops home from Germanistan while we are at it and have them start rotating along the border training regions.

Put a Division on Guam, assuming it wont flip over from the weight, and have it rapidly deployable. Troops in Europe could train there at the invitation of the caliphate I guess but there would be more value to them than us.

Just tighten up the targeting coordinates for every thing that flies and blows shit up.

Have the Marines teach the Army how to move without bringing three kitchen sinks and its all good to go.

    Well

It in the end always requires boots on the ground but until that point.......... Yes it does.

Let the Northern border be our winter/temperate training zone while the southern border is our desert/ arid training area. Agree assuming you are talking about our borders.

Bring the troops home from Germanistan while we are at it and have them start rotating along the border training regions. Fuk Europe and most of the rest of the world, Keep the 3rd ID in Poland and move the 173rd to Ukraine,

Put a Division on Guam, assuming it wont flip over from the weight, and have it rapidly deployable. Troops in Europe could train there at the invitation of the caliphate I guess but there would be more value to them than us. hahah i get the reference, a light ACR for guam would be enough..

Just tighten up the targeting coordinates for every thing that flies and blows shit up.

Have the Marines teach the Army how to move without bringing three kitchen sinks and its all good to go.
Funny but the Army done that game a lot more and a lot longer than the pissant loudmouth naval police force who cant seem to deploy in a combat zone longer than 6 months.

As many have alluded to this is a game of poker.
Trump has called Pugsley on his bluff.
Bluffs only work if you don't have to show your cards.
As Pugsley has been exaggerating his lethality he has painted himself into a corner.
Something some should remember, we played this game with a worthy opponent for decades.

    R
