Authors of Bill Ruled Unconstitutional

How about an executive order being passed that would hold authors of bills/laws that are ruled unconstitutional accountable? There are absolutely NO consequences to politicians that keep throwing as much attempt to dismantle the constitution!

I would like to see mandatory federal charges brought upon anyone that introduces a bill that is deemed unconstitutional. Without this, there WILL be an end to our 2nd Amendment.

Problems. The executive branch does not create law. What is or is not constitutional has been perverted to the point that it has little meaning in Washington.

In this instance, holding elected officials accountable is the job of the voters.

Where have you been? That hasn’t stopped them from doing crap they supposedly can’t do for years now. Rules only work when someone holds people accountable or someone actually follows them. If everyone says they don’t want to play by the rules anymore then they won’t until some other group comes in and says you don’t get to play anymore. I’m still waiting on the American people to tell them they are done but so far it seems the stupid people far outweigh the smart ones so we just keep spiraling farther out of control.

Exactly! And, actually the founding fathers did kind of have it figured out. These were not ever intended to be paid jobs. It was supposed to be done as a service to your country, nor was it ever supposed to be something that people made into a career for their entire lives. This is where the problem lies. We must get rid of these people that have been doing this 30-40 years or more. Term limits would automatically solve lots of issues in DC. The problem is those that are currently in these seats would have to vote the term limits in to limit their own power and that won’t ever happen. The longer they sit up there the more power they get and the more this kind of crap goes on.
