If and when this ever happens I believe UN troops will be here disarming. I don’t see many PD or National Guard going against our constitutional rights.

ShooterwithNON seems to have forgotten that it was citizen farmers who defeated the greatest sea and land power the world had ever seen up until 1776. The weapons those citizen farmers had was a pittance compared to the resources of what was the greatest military force in the world. Things haven't changed all that much...well, other than that the citizens now have a great many more weapons available. Back in 1776 a household may have had one or two firearms...today's firearms owners often have many more.
In the last 5 years there were tons of pictures on the net of Armored UN vehicles being transported and stock piled. I know most of our local PD in NY have armoured trucks for emergencies.
I get what your saying Unknown, and I understand that. But such an event ever happening is going to be much closer to the Civil War than the Revolutionary War. Not to mention all of our enemies abroad would love nothing more than upheaval on US soil and take an opportunity to strike. I believe something like this is totally unpredictable. Theres no way to know how something like this would possibly play out today. Everything has changed. We arent dealing with anything they dealt with back then, or ever before for that matter.
Today we are dealing with enemies at home and abroad that want nothing more than to watch us burn. They dont want our resources, they don't want our land. They want us eradicated. Today, with the massive diverse population of the US, the enemies have infiltrated our ranks. They aren't wearing red uniforms anymore. They are among us, have been spilling over our borders for decades.
The true Americans today, like the ones that fought these wars of the past, have to contend with not only keeping govt in check. But with the enemies among us. Camouflaged in todays society and they came here to destroy our ways of life. There's no clear battle lines anymore. We are going to have to defend ourselves on fronts that we can not yet even predict. Its never been more important for us to fight against these bastards in any way we can. We can not let them take our guns.
Sorry for veering this post OT, I think this classification of these so called, "Military weapons" is another horseshit propaganda attempt by the left to instill fear anyway they can. Once again I'll say this as well: Im not saying that the "lowest bidder" military gear is so much greater than what I have. I said for the majority of us, we cant get it. Whether it be due to the cost, availability, whatever. So for them to claim my AR is a "military weapon" is horseshit.

What does that make my G19? I had that for a long tome before it was a military grade weapon.
Lots of comm misinformation in this thread. Ham radio of today is not like it was even 10 years ago. Burst an very small bandwidth w/TOT on a NVIS antenna, shoot an scoot. LOS gear is just for short operational usage. SSTV or FSTV can say it all or say nothing w/o one word spoken. Shoot the message, set a no man bush, an wait. The art of civil war is to make it uncivilized, for the aggressor. Just the fact we blend in holds a great advantage. Then add the dress up to look same/same plus know the lingo, rank ect puts us light years ahead of the rag heads. We also know where everything is, an all the choke points. Some of you need to think out of the box, an thinking this game will be played by any rules at all, is laughable at best.

You got that right. There won’t be any rules and it will be far from civil. Heck, I don’t dont know how one considers any aspect of war civil anyway. But, this would be much worse than the OG. The biggest disadvantage would be knowing friend from foe.
I’d also have you guys consider this, many think the current mil guys would not fire on civilians, but what about your local countrymen that were labeled terrorist? You see they took an oath as well and as far as they are concerned, if you are labeled a terrorist then you are an enemy of the state automatically, not to mention some of them may not agree with your cause to begin with. Something to consider for those that look to them to lay down and walk away.

I happen to agree with you . The problem is the 2A community is asleep. People think because the republicans are in control they have no worries witch you and I know that is bullshit. The NRA and other lobbyists are doing nothing to organize the 2A community to push back on the libs. I spoke to the NRA they claim they don't have the resources to fight. I said the money is in the community manufacturers of guns and ammo, retailer ECT. Should be throwing money at this and NRA organizing there members got no were. It is going to come down to give in or stand your ground.
I agree with the fact that a lot of larger gun and ammo manufacturers should be funding some support to push back. However, they are a business and they are hurting right now as well. They might not have the money to fight either and in some ways this may be the libs strategy. These businesses are not making hand over foot like some believe.
I'm not so optimistic. Law enforcement had no issues what so ever going into New Orleans and seizing guns from law abiding gun owners after Hurricane Katrina. And absolutely no one stopped them from doing it.

Finally, in my aging years, I find it's more difficult to live with what you've done and what you haven't done in life than anything else... So my number one goal at this point in life is to not have anymore regrets. Handing over my arsenal would very much be a regret.

I've seen enough PD that agree citizens shouldn't have gun rights I disagree. NG on the other hand maybe not unless it becomes a job because the economy sucks...then anything can happen in order to "survive". I know I would care a lot less of defending my rights against a UN "peacekeeper" than a NG or PD but it is what it is at that point. From our cold dead hands.
