I hope the area downrange was safe for a ricochet. Unless there was a steep hill there or something else to catch the bullet he should have a least gotten as high an angle as possible. Probably should have just told the cars that were stopped because a groundhog was in the road "keep moving, it's just a fucking groundhog".
Rabid animal, whats the issue. He chose his spot and actually hit the dam target, that is a rare event, give him a gold star.

I tell you, the video chicks reaction is troubling. She's freaked and sad because he capped the groundhog. People are seriously sheltered. Anyone could see that groundhog had some issues. Wish he'd of pulled the AR out of the trunk. Then they'd have really freaked. Can you imagine what that headline would have been?
I’ll add a story along the OP’s topic. I was mowing my yard, a state highway patrol doubletaps a deer in the road and drags it 20 feet into my front yard......I figured the county would come and pick it up. A handful of days go by and that awful smell. I drug it to the roadside ditch rank and full of maggots My neighbors were bitching. I told them to call the county. Really though, I kind of thought wtf? I wasn’t about to approach an officer with his gun out. Not bashing officers with this comment. Just sharing. I think he did pretty good with ground hog all though if available I would have reached for a shotgun.
fucker was rabid....ive got tons of ground hogs around the house.......never been able to get within 20 feet of one.....much less had one charge me.
i dont know why people are freaking out, fucker was going to die a painful death....much better to put it out of its misery.....and certainly much better than waiting for it to bite someone.

That's how rabid skunks and coons act, follows the movement. We would have them wander through the farmyard on rare occasions. Knew a kid in high school that got bit by a strange acting coon. Coon ran off, the kid had to go through the old style shots through the stomach treatment just in case it was rabies. He was not impressed.

I hate to say it, but one of those stupid fuckers stopped on the highway should get bit. Then they'd understand they aren't just cute and fuzzy li'l critters that we should all love. Not only do they help rabies along, it's critters like that that help bubonic plague along too.
