I listed a pole of some of the more desired scopes that people are looking for that are available and soon to be, feel free to list any scopes I forgot to mention.

I've been looking forward to the new Steiner M7xi without the IFS an hope they release it on time. Also been taking a hard look at the 4-20x ZCO as a second option.

I want a less than $500 scope that holds zero like a SWFA but with a modern simple Mil tree reticle. Fixed 10-12 or variable with GOOD BRIGHT GLASS. What you suggest? Turrets can even be kinda mushy cuz I’m gunna use holds 99% of the time.

I'm waiting out for the Khales K525i, mostly just so the k624i will drop in price.

I'm hoping buy the end of the year to pick up a Khales 525 or 624 or a Leupold Mark 5HD.
Probably go for the Leupold due to being 95% the scope at 60% of the price of a Khales, just wish they did a reticle like the SKMR3/EBR 7B or just updated the TMR.

I've ordered the Sightron SVSSED 4.5-24 directly from sightron.
So, that's the one I want and am waiting for.

Not really into the ATACR. Not enough glass quality for the money from what I've read/heard.

Not into TT until they get a decent reticle.

I like Minox, but the warranty turnaround time is unfortunate.

Kahles - maybe, but probably price-prohibitive even used unless the new 5-25 is essentially a TT with a better reticle

ZC - not even considering a new company at those price points until they're proven and have stuck around for a few years.

Running my SWFA HD 5-20 for now. It's not a perfect scope by any means, but it serves me just fine. Maybe a Vortex G2 or AMG?

I have only one scope I want to purchase this year.

That is the atacr 4-16x42. I want something compact, so it can fit on my grand fathers .243 that I cleaned up. Nothing fits properly with the rear iron site in place, but this scope will fit perfectly

The only one not out yet that I expect to purchase this year is the bushnell EDMR. I think it will go nicely with the AR308 I’ll be building this summer and expect the ED glass to be a worthwhile upgrade over the DMR-II.

I am most interested in the Revic Mil version or the EO Tech 5-25 Vudu but I am not completely sold on either one at this point. I like the looks of the ZCO 4-20 as well but I have a feeling the pricing will be more than I can handle.

Would you mind messaging me the approximate pricing on these when you get a moment. I understand it may not be set in stone at this point.

    Thanks

We're still waiting on pricing to be finalized but it's safe to say around $3,400.00 give or take a hundred or two.

Kahles K525. Probably won't arrive in Australia until September at the earliest though. I would have gone for a ZCO 5-27 but that won't be available in Australia until next year from what I've been told.

    Trijicon Accupower 1-8x28mm

    Leupold VX6 3-18x44mm

New Sightron Zero Stop models to become widely available. Not sure why you can't find them. They were released in April. I really like the 100 MOA travel on they 6-24x tactical

    I want a:

    10x50
    34mm Tube
    Mil/Mil
10mil Elevation turret (30 total mils of elevation)
    Capped Windage with R/L Indicators
    MSR-2 Reticle (or close)
    Tooless Zero
    Tooless Zero Stop
25 - Infinity Parallax located in the rear (like the SS optics)
Vortex Razor Gen 2/NF ATACR quality glass
    <13”
    <30oz
    <$2000

So basically I want a super charged SWFA SS 10x42HD. Any manufacture want to make me one?

Realistically though, I’ll be putting a SS 10x42 HD on an AIAT when I can buy the rifle.

My dream scope would be a TT with a DT reticle for .300WM

    reticle-500x500.jpg

But I might have to settle for an L&S 3-18x ... which can take the reticle for the Mk6

    http://www.davidtubb.com/dtr-scopes

If you aren't familiar with these, you have to watch the baboon hunting video ...

Wind dots, on a BDC reticle with coriolis effect built in. Adjustments for MV, density altitude and distance, as well as mover support. I think it has everything! :)

The most expensive I will buy this year if available before October are:
    1) Schmidt Bender 3-20x50 34mm PM II $3,299.00 backordered
    2) Leupold VX-6HD 4-24x52mm $2000 backordered

In the middle I have bought already this year:
    1) A couple Sightron SIII SS 3.5-10x44mm scopes ~$700 each

The cheapest I already got this year are:
    1) Leupold VX-Freedom Rimfire 2-7x33 1 inch MOA reticle, 174179 $180
    2) Simmons .22 Mag 4x32mm Riflescope Truplex Reticle w/ Scope Rings (Matte) - 511022 $20

So nobody's looking for a Super Sniper??? :D
If SWFA would replace the mil quad with a thinner version with a floating crosshair or floating center dot, I'd never upgrade to anything else. It's a fantastic value. The only hold-up for me is the reticle. And even with my issues with the reticle, it's the only scope I run that costs more than $100. Just can't bring myself to spend $2k+ when they all still have issues:

Nightforce - hate the rotating ocular
Kahles - poor glass for the price (unless we're talking used)
Minox - crazy long warranty turnaround
Vortex - wish they had a decent reticle with a floating dot and .2 mil windage hashes that aren't too thick and obtrusive (EBR-7B center dot with EBR-2C horizontal)
    TT - reticle
    ZCO - too new
    S&B - reticle

I've been reading and comparing scopes non stop for the past 6 months...

    My wants/needs:

Light weight, under or close to 30oz
    5-25 or 6-24
    Locking turrets
    illuminated Christmas tree reticle
    Zero stop
    Very good glass

It'll be going on a light weight 300wm hunting rig/long range plinker.

I ended up placing an order for a Vortex Razor AMG EBR7B last week...no local shops carry these, so I'm buying sight unseen. A bit nervous, but I'm hoping it's everything I expect.

After as rudely as I was treated by Sightron's customer service, I won't consider any of their products anytime soon.

Can't go wrong...I just got a vortex myself. Not sure how you could go wrong...

You won't be disappointed. I love mine, IMO it's the best long range hunting scope available.

You'll be thrilled if you don't mind a busy horizontal line on the reticle. Everything else is spot on for your needs. It's a fantastic scope.

So nobody's looking for a Super Sniper??? :D

Ha, I just said I’ll buy buying an SS 10x42 HD, probably in November!

I would just PREFER my “supercharged” SS that I specked out above in my previous post #23.

Waiting on Nightforce to come out with a Mil-C reticle with a minimalist christmas tree added to it.
I think that is the only thing holding me back from NF. Their reticles.

Vortex AMG in a mid power range, 3-18, 4-16, some where around there..... Please vortex PLEASE!!! My shorty hunting rifle needs it!

ETA: A razor gen II with EBR-7B reticle would be awesome as well.

Basically this. I'd buy a Razor Gen2 yesterday if it came with the EBR-7B reticle. I may have to settle for the EBR-2C, but I'd much rather the EBR-7B in the Gen2 for my AIAT so it would match the AMG's reticle when I get one for my TL2. Heck, I may wind up with two AMGs, but who knows at this point. Both the AMG and the Razor Gen2 are excellent optics for the money, so either would work, but having the option of either reticle in both scopes would be killer. A 3-18x AMG would be AMAZING for sure, as I don't really need 24x on the top end for a multi-role rifle, and 6x may be a little higher than I want for hunting purposes.

TL;DR - Put the EBR-7B in ALL Razor models, and make an AMG in 3-18x.

I am still tossing around the idea of getting an Athlon Cronus BTR 4.5-29x56 scope, but I would really like to be able to hold one and feel how the turrets work before going through with the purchase.

I also like the Vortex AMG; they are both nice scopes. It is hard to choose.

Turrets are a little mushy if you want to call it that. They are distinct though....never did I stop and say wait, was that a click? I can tell you, there will be no accidental turning of the elevation or windage knobs on the Cronus BTR. They are firm but not difficult to turn. The clicks line up perfectly with the hash marks on the knob. Knobs and tracking passed a 10 mil Tall Target Test with flying colors.

I don't really understand the "how do the clicks feel" mentality. They work for their intended purpose. If I don't know if I turned one....that would be a problem. Other than that......a click is a click.

I would love to buy a Minox Z series someday.....I tend to like the highest power in the upper 20's or 30's. Outside of BR scopes, options are limited.

Sig BDX, specifically the Kilo3000BDX binocular LRF and whatever pairs with it to get started, then an upgraded scope/scopes so I can eventually move most of my scoped rifles to BDX.

I'll tell you what would be the bee's knees - a Vortex AMG with an MR4. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

This scope is at the top of my list as well; hopefully available in another month or so. MSPR of $1, 440; hopefully street value will be at least a couple hundred dollars less

Are these LOW made, or is that just the Cronus line?
