There is reason for hope.......

Nationalism has some negative connotations.

Patriotism should not be associated with the historical periods when nationalism lead to some abuses.

Love of Country is not a fault.

Shame on anyone that doesnt have love of their own country or perhaps shame on the government that runs their country so poorly that its inhabitants are not proud of it.

Instead of accepting the inevitability that occupants flee "shitholes" we should support efforts to turn "shitholes" into places of pride through good governance.

Perhaps the example of these game fans show the efforts made over the last decade to turn a place of pride into a "shithole" were in vain.

It sounds like this was the last game of a multi-game, one day tournament. I don’t think there would have been anything to report if the announcer had not said there would be no anthem. I’ve never been to a tourney where the anthem was played before every game.

That has been done in many of our small and mid sized cities. Look at before and after photos from 1950 and today. Below are photos of my town in 1950 and today. Ive seen the same in many cities like Pittsburgh, Denver and so on. The larger ones like NYC and LA may be destined to be dumps forever.

Clunky? Perhaps, but it wasn't written in hopes of winning whatever award Kayne, Beonce, et al desire.

It's one of a few songs that sends chills down my spine. You wouldn't care for the others.

I am a hard core USA Nationalist, only people who want to control you want you to think being an American nationalist is bad. All cultures are not created equal.

Nationalism is fine up to the point you imbue it with arbitrary characteristics concerning the individual.

Healthy Nationalism is "the melting pot".

Unhealthy Nationalism espouses "Lebensraum" and "Untermenschen".

American Nationalists come in any shape and color, may even have accents but they wave our flag and believe in the concepts contained in our Declaration of Independence and honor the Constitution.

Bring your chalupas but celebrate the 4th of July, wave one flag, and embrace our culture while seasoning it with the benign aspects of your place of birth.
