View threadWhere did you hear that, their website is still up?Rumor has it they are out of business. Shame, that folding rifle sure looked promising.
I have to agree. Sure looks like a competitor misdirection post to me. And I own nothing in this category. Unless you consider a stock DPMS LR 308 in that category... ?Rumor has it that only douchebags who lack balls as well as character would start some unsubstantiated passive aggressive bullshit rumor with no basis in fact whatsoever.
Here’s a fact. F & D is still going strong. As of 5 minutes ago anyway. As noted above they are still making the only gas piston big frame worth a damn.
So Mack...you joined the Hide to start a rumor? Nice intro...or is it?
I was really missing my F&D and had thoughts of looking into them again at some point, but now I'm going to have to look into POF as you're the first who's shown them to be extremely accurate.POF smokes them accuracy wise and I have proved it over and over,
I even had .gov come to my range years back (like 6) where my POF rifles murdered the competition.

That is what a real 3 Shot group looks like and followed up in a 3/8” dot to confirm.
Not pulling a group out of a mess.
Factory rifle, factory Ammo
Were there POF 6.5’s that didn’t shoot well?Frank- POF ever get a 6.5 to shoot?
I'm assuming the one's Frank has are 308's but not certain unless he responds. I would be surprised if POF couldn't figure out how to get a 6.5CM (Creedmoor) to shoot in their platform, I had major issues with a custom large frame AR build a few years ago and what "fixed" the accuracy issue was swapping out the 308 barrel with a 6.5CM barrel, once that happened my groups closed in much better. I won't even pretend to think I could shoot better than Frank, most of my groups come in around .75 - 1 moa, usually because of 1 flier, but the F&D rifle I had was very impressive for a piston rifle. I am curious to research a little more on POF.I have not shot POF products in a few years. My experience with the few that I owned was that the small frame were fantastic but the big frame not so much. Back then they made only a handful in 6.5s ...all of which pretty much failed to impress. No clue if they improved since then.
I was unaware of a relationship with F&D Defense and Faxon, I am curious as are others, what motivated you to create a brand new account with Snipers Hide and your first post is to propagate a rumor? Now you're saying you have inside information with Faxon who is no longer manufacturing parts for F&D? I'm not saying you're giving inaccurate information but with no history on the Hide your information is suspect, and why would you share that as part of your first posts on the Hide even if you are being truthful? It may be that F&D might be going out of business but without better evidence of such you are simply speculating at this point and I'm not sure if it's meant to help F&D or hurt F&D.I checked for more details and here is what I found.
Faxon said that they lost manufacturing rights or an intellectual property license and have no way or no rights to manufacture the product and stated that F&D cancelled all their barrel orders because of the shutdown. The product was really owned by someone else, and then leased to F&D with restrictions. They are probably just moving the remainder of their inventory. I mean really, why announce that you are going out of business while you are still trying to push your inventory into the marketplace? No one would buy.
If that is truly the case, then why would you just post a thread stating "Who makes good folding AR's?", instead you've made this all about speculation over whether or not F&D is going out of business instead of trying to find a folding rifle.Evidence provided above. Dont really care about helping or hurting F&D or whether they stay in business or go out of business. Just want to purchase a folding rifle that I know will be around for a while.
