Rifle Scopes Scope advice

Looking for a scope in the $1200-1700 range to mount on a 6.5CM. Just getting into some longer range shooting and don’t see myself shooting over 1000 very soon or doing anything other than friendly competition (for now). Size and weight aren’t much of an issue as this will be a 90% range gun with an occasional trip to the box blind for deer on a bean field. Have looked at several options and major players are Burris xtr ii 5-25 with scr moa reticle, swfa hd 5-20, sig tango 6 4-24 scr moa milling, and saw a used Steiner t5xi 5-25 in my price range. If anyone could comment on these and any others that I haven’t mentioned, please let me know what you think.

I’ve had a Steiner T5xi and it’s a good scope and I liked it a lot but got that gun ADD and wanted to try something different so now I have a Athlon Cronus BTR and it’s great too (and worth looking into). I have a Sig Tango 6 4-24x50 in MILs with the Dev-l reticle new in box my wife thinks I should sell so if your interested send me a pm about it.

I would not hesitate to recommend a Cronus BTR! Turrets track accurately and glass quality punches above its price point.

It has been an excellent scope for me on a 6.5 Creedmoor RPR.

This is in response to an experience I had yesterday at Camera land. The place is big but the worker that I had attend me was no good. I walked out. Not only did the salesman have no product knowledge but he was rude and flippant. Then as I’m walking out the guy panics and asks if I at least wanted to leave a deposit. I just smiled as I walked out. I’m a little old school but I am going to ask questions before dropping $3,600 on a rifle scope. The guy corrected me on the proper pronunciation of KAHLES when he was totally wrong. Gr8ful Doug if you work there Camera Land lost $8K in business because my partner was going to buy a similarly priced scope at Camera Land.
