"I brought you into this world, I'll take you out of it!"

She had TWO pistols. Bet girlfriend's eyes got real big then! Granny was NOT fucking around, she wasn't letting girlfriend get away either. Whatcha bet you she had two graves waiting in the desert?

I don't know, I figure 90 is old enough for the permanent "get of jail free" card. You ain't punishing her, you ain't rehabilitating her, you ain't changing her. She'll die of natural causes before any penalty could be carried out. Bond is all she cares about, they can have the house. Cops should have just taken her pistols and given her a warning.

So would someone please explain why a kidnapping charge is appropriate in this case? Or is this just more of the same trend I'm seeing by DAs to throw everything in the book at a suspect and see how much will stick?

Seems the kidnapping charge should be against her son for putting her in unwanted confinement. He got what he deserved.

My wife is a nurse and has been in the nursing home business for the better part of 25 years. Some of the antics our elder generation gets up to are hilarious. “Can we discuss our sex life because frankly your not putting out and I know you love my big nurses special” coming from an 89 year old man with dimentia.? They completely loose any filter either to dimentia or just straight up don’t give a rats ass?

Considering the horrors of many "nursing homes", one might be better off in prison.

If you want to be old and crazy in your own home, that is your right... but greedy unwashed wannabe heirs want to get an early start on shoving you into some little hell hole to die miserably while they start diving up your stuff early.

Agree that there are certainly some bad ones out there. Three key elements make a good one. Ownership, administrator and the director of nursing with the director of nursing being the most important as they set the stage for nursing care. I’m extremely proud of my wife and the level of care that she insists on regardless of the other two elements. To find her you need to be out on the floor as she is only in her office by necessity. Story’s of family members waiting around with their hand out are discusting?

When some states make it a crime to put a camera in your relatives nursing home room with their consent, to keep an eye on the evil the workers do. Then you know the horror is epidemic and the government is in on trying to cover it up as they would like the old people to hurry up and die so they don't have to pay out too much of their promised benefits.
