A young woman brought her fiancé home to meet her parents. After dinner, her
mother told the girl's father to find out about the young man.
The father invited the fiancé to his study for a talk.
"So, what are your plans?" the father asked the young man.
"I am a biblical scholar," he replied
"A biblical scholar, hmmm?" the father said. "Admirable, but what will you
do to provide a nice house for my daughter to live in?"
"I will study," the young man replied, "and God will provide for us."
"And how will you buy her a beautiful engagement ring, such as she
deserves?" asked the father.
"I will concentrate on my studies," the young man replied, "God will provide
for us."
"And children?" asked the father. "How will you support children?"
"Don't worry, sir, God will provide," replied the fiancé.
The conversation proceeded like this...and each time the father questioned,
the young idealist insisted that God would provide.
Later, the mother asked, "How did your talk go, honey?"
The father answered, "another Democrat, He has no job, he has no plans, and he thinks I'm
God."

An attorney arrived home late, after a very tough day trying to get a stay of execution for his death row client.

His last minute plea for clemency to the governor had failed and he was feeling worn out and depressed.

As soon as he walked through the door at home, his wife started on him about, What time of night to be getting home is this? Where have you been? Dinner is cold and I'm not reheating it'. And on and on and on.

Too shattered to play his usual role in this familiar ritual, he poured himself a shot of whiskey and headed off for a long hot soak in the bathtub, pursued by the predictable sarcastic remarks as he dragged himself up the stairs.

While he was in the bath, the phone rang. The wife answered and was told that her husband's client, James Wright, had been granted a stay of execution after all. Wright would not be hanged tonight.

Finally realizing what a terrible day he must have had, she decided to go up stairs and give him the good news.

As she opened the bathroom door, she was greeted by the sight of her husband, bent over naked, drying his legs and feet and said "They're not hanging Wright tonight!"

He whirled around and screamed, 'FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WOMAN, DON'T YOU EVER STOP?'

A C-130 was lumbering along when a cocky F-16 flashed by. The jet jockey decided to show off.

The fighter jock told the C-130 pilot "Watch this!" and promptly went into a barrel roll followed by a steep climb. He then finished with a sonic boom as he broke the sound barrier.

The F-16 pilot asked the C-130 pilot what he thought of that?

The C-130 pilot said "That was impressive but watch this!"

The C-130 droned along for about 5 minutes and then the C-130 pilot came back on and said "What did you think of that?"

Puzzled, the F-16 pilot asked "What the heck did you do?"

The C-130 pilot chuckled and said "I stood up, stretched my legs, walked to the back, took a leak, then got a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll".

he moral of the story: When you are young and foolish speed and flash may seem a good thing! When you get older and smarter comfort and dull is not such a bad thing!

Older folks understand this one. It's called: S.O.S. [Slower, Older, and Smarter!]

A Zebra dies and arrives at the Pearly Gates. As he enters, he asks St. Peter "I have a question that's haunted me all of my days on earth. Am I white with black stripes, or am I black with white stripes?"

St. Peter said "That's a question only God can answer".

So the zebra went off in search of God. When he found Him, the zebra asked "God, please - I must know... am I white with black stripes, or am I black with white stripes?"

God simply replied "You are what you are".

The zebra returned to see St. Peter once more, who asked him "Well, did God straighten out your query for you?" The zebra looked puzzled. "No sir, God simply said ""You are what you are"".

St. Peter smiled and said to the zebra "Well then, there you are. You are white with black stripes".

The zebra asked St. Peter "How do you know that for certain?" "Because" said St. Peter "If you were black with white stripes, God would have said "You is what you is..."

now that the sun has gone down and temps have returned to a more reasonable 80*......i was finally able to finish up the install on my CB into the Tacoma......debated between installing a CB or a HAM rig......decided a CB would be more useful on the road....

plus i have an ARES jumpkit with a couple of handheld HAM radios in the truck at all times anyways.

Antenna bracket mounted and PL259 connector soldered up
IMG_0513.JPG

Coax/ grounding strap run down the bed under the rail caps (truck bed is composite, reason for the grounding wire)
IMG_0511.JPG

coax run down the back of the bed onto the frame rails, coax ducks into cab via grommet, ground cable grounds to chassis.
IMG_0517.JPG

Coax run under the carpet into center console, power run via 12v adapter....didnt want to hardwire so i could swap between vehicles if need be.
IMG_0508.JPG

Cover all that shit up with a console tray, just wish the tray was like a 1/2" longer though...
