I'm still looking for a shooting tripod for my MPA chassis with the ACRA swiss rail. I've read the review of this combo here on Snipers Hide and it's says they're compatible. Any updates with anyone else here that uses this setup? I don't know if I'm committed yet to get the whole RRS setup.

I have been running a 3372 with a ta-3 for a little over a year now and love it! I do not have experience with other setups so I can’t help you out with any comparisons but this setup has really worked out well for me. I did have to shim the leveling head with a piece of #12 copper wire and that really helped lock it down. @Diver160651 did a write up that would be worth a read if you havent read it already.

Thanks! I've read that review. I noticed you and him talked about shimming it. Was it necessary to shim it or does it still lock down with out it?

I’m wanting to say that the three apex screws were pushing in or digging into the collar of the leveling head and the shim sort of spread the load of the screws around the leveling head instead of just three spots if that makes sense. If I get time tomorrow I’ll tear it apart and take some pics for you.

I totally understand. You don't to have to tear it down for me. I appreciate it though. I just read the PVA tripod first impressions thread. It looks like the RRS TA-3 is compatible with it and it drops right in. Can anyone confirm? If so it looks like I might go that route.

Have the PVA comp 40 tripod with the RRS TA3 leveling base. The base fit like it was made for it. I like the setup.

Thanks . I think I will go the feisol route. Lighter and almost the same price with Black Friday sales

Yes sir, with the ARCA lever release (I believe it used to be listed as the TA-U-LA, or something like that). It looks identical to the one you have posted a link.
