Gunsmithing Can a bolt action barrel be turned to receive an AR10 barrel extension?

I have an 18" 308 proof that is currently mated to a Ti. Pierce action. I want to rebarrel to a longer SS Proof barrel in 6.5cm.

Question is, can I convert the existing 308 barrel to accept an AR10 barrel extension?

Any thoughts or suggestions much appreciated.

Depending on contour, if there is enough tenon than yes, they can chop the threads and recut the tenon and re-chamber, install barrel extension, cut gas tenon and drill gas port.

Probably end up with a 16" or 16.5"

Now that I think about it, It's a carbon barrel. So there's no step or steel on the surface for a gas block... hmmm, maybe I'm SOL.

Yea you didnt say carbon. SOL. Sell it and buy a AR10 barrel
