A big part is who these parties pander to. Democreeps pander to NAACP and other minority organizations. Republicraps pander to big business and other "whitey" type organizations. It'd stand reason why they do what they do, that and the lack of true understanding of what's going on behind closed doors. It's got a lot to do with Maslow's pyramid though --the lower the class, the less time for critical thought, in short.
What NEEDS to be done is no more political parties and no more money. It's start. Congressmen have a party, their district. Senators have a party, their state. Presidents have a party, their country. Supreme court needs to be elected same as everyone else. And all need a single term limit, no re elections. One and done. Make it longer than 4 years, whatever, but no more re elections. No more political donations. X hours could be allotted by the networks (they'll get plenty of advertisement money doing this for free) and an allowance given to candidates by the people, so that our elections can be for the people once again.
I really don't see another way to save this country from a civil war, I really don't. Unless we regain control of our country, which is prescribed in the constitution if it becomes corrupt or runs off the rails, we'll lose it. Our country doesn't belong to the federal government, it belongs to us. We grant them powers, we have rights which supersede those. It's time we roll back some of those powers.
We've been fucked by two parties for so long, what do we have to lose at this point to make a national movement to clean house with new, intelligent invduals willing to do these things and fix the government? One new government like this could change this country forever, and for the better too I might add. I for one am not represented by my "representative". Nor is my neighbor or anybody else I know in this district. So why doesn't he work for us? Because he was bought and paid for by the Democreeps, he's not beholden to his constituents.
Am I making sense? It's not easy, no, but neither is civil war, it's the worst of the worse. And it'll likely lead to decades of strife and in the end we'll likely end up with a worse government than now. So I think it's worth a try to salvage the government we have, I just don't see another way of going about doin ti.
