The Law of the Land is the Constitution . Sharia Law goes against seperation of church and State . It may come and will be illegal . There was a New York City Judge censured twice for dispensing Sharia Law from the bench . So they made him a NY State ( Supreme or Superior ) Court Judge .

To be sure, the French are our oldest ally. Without their help during the Revolution the Cause would have ended up like so many others put down by the british throughout their empire. They helped us win our independence and we helped them regain theirs.

If you go over European history, the French were decently respected among the European powers.
They had their turns at wins and losses but were decently thought of.
WWII tactics took them by surprise right at the time the real warriors had retired.
Unfortunately after all the decent strong leaders that remembered WWII died out in Europe & there was no more threat from the Soviets, the whole continent fell into self loathing, yearning for Communism and trying to be politically correct.
