Hi all,

My name is Henrik and I'm from Norway. I live on the coast south west of Oslo and I've been shooting rifles for nearly 3 years now. I started out with my granddads old K98 from 1938 chambered in .30-06 (Leftover rifles from the Germans were chambered in .30-06 and .308 by the Norwegian Armed Forces) and upgraded to a Tikka T3 Tactical chambered in .308 Win in 2016. Last year I decided to start on a Mark 13 build but ended up having to go for an "inspired" build due to ITAR export regulations and the lack of sellers wanting to ship parts over here. Hopefully I can pick up some knowledge here about this interesting rifle and improve my shooting along the way.

As far as ranges I help out as a RO at my "local" range (100 and 200 m) and go to a 100-1000 m range about an hour away when I get the chance. When not shooting I spend a lot of time reloading or window shopping rifles/parts.

Thanks for letting me be part of the Hide!

Thanks guys :)

The Tikkas are very well made and shoot nicely out of the box. It's hard to compete with the endless world of Remington accessories though, and that draws me in a bit :p

Thanks, the scenery can be quite amazing once the sun is out. The second picture above is from the closest range with targets beyond 200 meters. It's a valley that sort of ends another 2 km or so further behind the camera, allowing for 1000 meter shots :) In the winter we are limited to shooting across the lake and up towards the camera due to the snow.

Velkommen hit  Jealous of your shooting grounds, finding 1000m terrain over here in Østfold is a challenge unless you’re lucky enough to know a triggerhappy farmer. So I have to go out to the islets(? skjærgård) in wintertime when there are very few other boats there. The boating season should be alot shorter :p

Another Norwegian :D It's a bit tricky over here as well, but I was lucky when I found the guys that run this range. Depending on where you are in Østfold you might want to reach out to the guys working on a range in Hurum, close to the tunnel below the Oslofjord. The boat season is a pain over here as well. Do you have a landowner who lets you shoot similar to Thomas Haugland up north or are you combining it with duck season?

I’ve seen several others in here aswell :) Have heard of that range in Hurum, but didn’t know it was up and running. Last I heard the local authorities had approved building a shooting range but it hadn’t started. Need to look into it. It is a 1,5 hour drive but definately worth it. No landowner, I’m combining it with the wild mink hunting season that lasts the whole year :ROFLMAO: Just gotta shoot from the islets that gets flooded by the tide.
