New Vortex LRBC Fail!

So Vortex just recently dropped their new LRBC program which I got to play around with today. I must say the new system is terrible compared to the previous LRBC they were using. They must of made the switch I can only assume do to money because the new calculator is crap. No verification can be done, cant select where you shoot on the map, not as many parameters to populate. Very let down with the new LRBC as it is as basic as you can get. Vortex if you are listening, bring back the old LRBC!

For what it is worth, it doesn't sound to me like he encountered a defect they should rectify ("there's a speck inside my optic") but rather thinks they took a wrong turn in product design.

Web based only. I now use JBM ballistics, not quite as user friendly but its been giving me accurate data.

Excellent, I didn't really want to have to waste my time booting up the Android tablet to see if it was in that app store

I also was greatly disappointed in the new LRBC. I emailed Vortex and later called to point out what I thought were shortcomings (distance resolution stops at 10 yard increments, loss of Density Altitude as an environmental field, weather/mapping, data validation, etc . . . ) I was told they were considering updates to the new system, but nothing in the last two months.

I returned to JBM Ballistics. The Hornady Ballistic Calculator is also a good alternative.
