I expect people to disagree with me and I welcome the fact. It is proof positive that at least for the present, the Constitution is on a sound foundation. When that's no longer the case, I would not mind getting a copy of your lists because I honestly trust your judgement in such matters.
I'm just not much a fan of such massive duplication of effort. While others make lists, I refine my zeros, work out my trajectories, and keep my skills and iron in tune. It's more of a generalized plan, and may be far less vulnerable to the fog of war.
I have no plans to be an active part of a counterinsurgency. In my current decrepit state, I'd be more of a detriment than an asset, and most likely, would be in the way. What strengths I retain would probably be better employed in a supporting role, and not a starring role.
But in this topic's context, there's a lot of wishful thinking, like there is in all strategic plans. Reality intervenes, and besides, the same vulnerabilities to the participants homes and families on an opposing side as mentioned above also exist regarding our own home front. Somebody needs to stay behind and watch over the home front.
At least I know I can hit what I'm aiming at, and would be doing so in support of all our families at home. In such a role, lists would be little more than a distraction. In such a role, your disagreements would also be flatly irrelevant.
I know the Communists are all very good at using lists. I fully expect that each and every one of us on this site is on many lists already.
I just don't care.
When they come, and I fully expect some will try, I plan to be dug in like a Carolina Tick.
Some of you will continue to disagree with me on this and many other things. That's fine, and yes, I do care. I even think it's a good idea.
