I thought it was official a decade ago at least? Isnt that why they went from the walker to the xmark pro?

Edit: googled up some more articles with the actual info in them and this is a recall on the xmp prior to 2014, not the original walker like the previous recall was for.

I have a Remington trigger on one rifle and it's a Bergara.

Just a by and by, did anyone notice that in that article the picture is captioned as being a "Remington 700 trigger mechanism" but that trigger has a blade safety and the cocking piece is all wrong. Riddle me that.

It's not a stock photo, it's from a picture of Rich Barber from another CNBC report

I just thought that if they were going to caption something as being a Remington 700 trigger they'd want it to be accurate, you know being journalists and all.

And yeah, not sending in my 700's. 2 from the 70's, one from the 80's and one from the 90's.
The 2 from the 70's are terrific rifles. The other two are more "meh". Not bad but not great.

Out of curiosity has anyone of you had an issue with a 700 trigger malfunctioning and going boom? I’ve got prolly 25 Remington 700s ranging from 5 digit guns to modern day and I’ve never had one malfunction. The older ones still have the Walker triggers, I replaced most of the x marks w/ timneys

A friend of the family customized his pickup by putting a 0.277 caliber hole in the passenger floorboard, using a rem 700. This was and older model with the walker trigger. Out of a dozen or so that I've been around with that trigger (including two of my own) this is the only AD of which I have 1st hand experience. No way would I send in either of mine. They're not custom good, but they're pretty damned good none the less.

Yes, 2 ND's related to the trigger. One on one of my older rifles and one from my late 80's model.
