I’m in the mood to venture out and add a bottle to the snob collection at the home bar. Was wondering if any other cognac snobs had a better suggestion as I am leaning towards finally getting a bottle of the Louis Royer XO that I am already embarrassed for not owning.

The palettes/profiles I seem to like lean more towards fruit floral and subtle spice and I do not like woodyness or earthy at all.

Favorites are the Remy XO and I really like the Delamain Pale XO. I’m not entirely snobby beyond help because the cheap Remy VSOP smells fantastic and I like the initial taste but the burn and finish ruin an otherwise solid drink.

Whatcha got? And totally in before, Miller High Life suggestions.

Martell XO Extra Old...you'll thank me later. I have drank Remy XO for a long time but the Martell is something a little more special. I also think Camus is better than Remy but much like any alcohol or cigar debate...it is highly personal

While your talking sweet, what's the wine/sugar concoction you mentioned a while back? Just in case I decide to crawl to bed one night.

If you indulge in Cognac you should try Armagnac.
