Notes dame gonna get curb stomped! They are not one of the best 4 teams in the country!
@beenjammin knows I am a Tide fan thru & thru. I say ND will win the big prize because FBS knows it's time for a Nat Champ that is an "Independent" and having ND hoist the trophy will be a great story line instead of "oh, well Bama won it again. Ho hum".
But then Nick is headed into his own stratosphere if he grabs another title for The Tide.

the voters or committee will not be able to help the lucky charms team! Their fixing to be in over their head again. Meanwhile they left out a few teams and cheated them! This ain’t flag football where everyone gets a trophy and hugs their mommy after they get their ass beat!

You're correct, it isn't flag football. But, in some folks view, it's oodles of $$ over any other consideration. The FBS was created because it would make some folks a shit-ton of $$$. They could give a rat's ass about what the true fans think.
There are quite a few folks wondering why Kelly got COY this year when UAB HC Clark clearly had all the bases covered. ND fans are just a much larger base than UAB fans and that means more $$.

ND winning it all would be too obvious something was going on behind the scenes..... Meanwhile I see Bama gets the #1 recruiting class ... again... All the 5 stars they want, leaving the 4-3 stars to everyone else.... Bama should win every year. I wish teams were limited on how many 5 stars they could get and level the playing field for everyone else.

Take a coach as good as Sabin and give him all 5 stars every year....... no freakin surprise.

Auburn university has the same capability. I just think they need another coach!

I would like to congratulate my Auburn brethren for the Tigers’ absolutely dominating performance against Purdue. A dominating performance in all facets of the game. I have nothing against Purdue, but I like to see SEC teams do well in bowl games and keep the theory alive that we are the best conference in college football. You could have easily hung 90+ points on them but backed off.

I know the game against UCF last year stuck in your craw and I’m glad to see the rebound.
I don’t think most people know just how hard it is to coach guys up for a bowl game (many players would call meaningless) when you were so close to a playoff shot (SEC Championship last year). As a Bama fan, I know all to well......we all remember the 2013 kick-6 game and then us getting destroyed in the bowl game against OU.....just hard to play your hearts out in a bowl game when you were eyeing the prize of a playoff spot.

Anyways, congratulations on a job well done against Purdue. War eagle.

We will see you again next November.
Roll Tide.

OK, so I was wrong @beenjammin . ND was extremely overrated.
When Bama got way ahead early I knew it wouldn't last. OU had, IIRC, come back at least once or twice this year.
Alabama v. Clemson again.
Last year ticket price average was just over $3,400 bu right now it's just over $1,000. Is it because the game was in ATL last year (close to both schools) or because of who us playing?

Oh man I wish I'd of scoured the other pages in this forum a sports page!! Auburn grad here and I'm torn on Gus. I do question Gus's play calling inside the 20 and the lack of player development criticism really seems to be playing itself out. After Lashlee left I was disappointed, but knew Chip Lindsey was a horrible choice my heart sank on the news and I set the bar sub-soil for us at that point. 2017 Bama/UGA was fun, but was despite Chip not due to him. We ran it well which let Jarrett flap his wings. The lack of O-line upgrades by Feb 6 means Grimes is really gonna have to coach these kids up. Dillingham was a HUGE plus IMO I hope he works well with JB Grimes. Will become clear quickly if Auburn's run woes were more talent based or scheme oriented.

I think it's either Nix or Sandberg starting. Willis and Gatewood yikes they need a LOT of help from Dill and Co, but that is Dillingham's jam coaching up young QB's. They were so lost in their spring games and few game snaps it was embarrassing. Gatewood is a physical beast would love to see him grow b/t his ears so he can help us. Nix has freaky football IQ already loved watching his HS games on espn. One thing I envision is us losing a couple of these guys with the transfer portal becoming so normal we have a ton of eligibility at QB.

Very impressed with nix!

Inside info for AU fans. Bob Stoops was spotted in Montgomery, and what a coincidance he now announces he is coaching some XFL team. Gus will be here for 2 more and then we can afford to pay him to leave and get a solid staff on the same level as Alabama, GA, Clem and now A&M ( maybe Tenn). We pretty much have to if we expect to compete in the future. You heard it here first.

A lot of my AU pals think I'm nuts and as frustrated as I've been with Gus I still want to see more before heave ho....so another couple of years ok I'm on board. I intensely watch the coordinator/assistant pool in CFB and I'm not sure I'm ready to start a 2-3 year project starting over with recruiting and coaches just yet. I very well may be in a season or two and maybe another Dabo falls out of the woodwork and we go that direction....so be it. Here is my pie in the sky scenario for this season. Gus is clearly going to be the play caller I'm ok with that enough of this shared confusion crap with wasted plays and TO's. Dillingham has me more excited than any hire in a decade at Auburn b/c this guy can COACH kids up b/t the ears and we've not had that at QB since coach Dye.....and Bo Nix is like a lab engineered QB dream growing up with an incredibly intelligent AU QB as a dad and playing for him in HS. I wanna see all of these incredients percolate for a season with Grimes maybe working with them better than Lindsey did. Chip Lindsey was a YUGE face palm from day 1 and his clown car parade belongs at Troy.

I hope you are not digging this post up in November calling for my summary execution!

We played against auburn signee in baseball tonight. Top player in Alabama. Y’all are getting a good one if he don’t sign pro!

You talking about Tisdol? Although I think he is from Georgia. He's pretty locked in on South Carolina though unfortunately for us b/c he is a beast ILB prospect so fast it's hilarious

WDE 2019 sec champs!! I noticed the NCAA is making us pay for it with the bracket they pout us in. Good Lord.
NMS played Kansas very tough it was maybe a 5 pt game I think these boys can run run run and shoot a ton of 3's like Aubie. As long as they don't make everything they throw up I think we can grab boards against them though. 12 v 5 scares me it's always the best 'upsets' every year.

Oh man NMS should have beat Auburn they gotta feel horrible they played great but came up just short. Under full court pressure AU folded like lawn chairs in a tornado just awful mental collapses defensively too capped off by fouling a guy falling backwards taking a 28 footer with time expiring face palm. Bryce should know better, but he screwed the pooch at end of UF game and again all last 5 minutes of this game. If that team shows up vs Kansas it's a 40 pt blowout and back to campus for my Tigers. Pearl looked like he was ready to have a stroke.

Yea I didn’t get to watch it but this is about what most people are saying also. Kansas showed up vs Northeastern. I’m hoping it’s what they were saying on the finebaum show and they were tired from all the games in such a short window and jet lagged. It’s gonna be a short ncaa for us if we play like that vs Kansas. I’m shocked we are favored in that game

I'd like to think it was fatigue, but I saw this on a few occasions during the regular season as well with mental implosions. NCState, Kentucky and LSU were 3 games where Auburn literally grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory in the last 5 minutes. Whatever the case I hope Pearl can snap them out of it.

Haha, I have a bunch of friends still there and they sent a video of 1000s of people running from every nook and cranny bar downtown the minute they all realized Auburn won. It’s mayhem right now!

Beenjammin. This is Auburn’s coach shug Jordan. Led troops onto beach at Normandy . Awarded Purple Heart! Loved listening to him talk when I was a kid! Thought you auburn guys would enjoy this!

Lt. Gen. Hal Moore passed about 2 years ago in Auburn as well. I heard they renamed part of 280 in his name some time back.

Can't wait to come back for A&M game my last time back was 2004 UGA
