What a waste of everyone's time, just so he can make a political statement. Everyone who either supports him, or hates him, or Trump has had their mind made up long ago. This bill's introduction won't change anyone's mind, and he knows it will never get passed.

I remember learning of the EC in grade school and how it gave voice to small states so they would have a say in their governance.
Its pure genius with no precedent I know of.
I doubt its benefits are taught in schools these days.
Those educated based on "fairness" will go for mob rule in a moment. This would pass if voted on just like direct senatorial election passed.

I agree. I do think there's two things that would have more impact though. Repeal income tax and replace with a single rate on retail consumption (Fair Tax) and strict limited ruling on commerce clause.
Reality is buy more ammo.
Why replace it with any tax, we got by, except for brief war periods, with no tax at a federal level until 1914, only lemmings would assume they should have that power. We need to bring back the state powers, states need to invoke article 5. If the big states want to get rid of the EC then the other states can unsign the Constitution and we can all go our separate ways.
you're talking about income tax. The fed gov has collected tax since nearly the beginning.

remember the electoral college is there to protect the minority, the small states, if that is removed, the majority of the states can secede and form their own union if they want. It will undo the Constitution that binds us, the constitutional convention will be undone.

He also lived in an era when people had balls, guts and freedom, military issue weapons, the will to use them and you didn't have the nanny state to take care of you.

I'm pretty sure if all the politicians including the president were having to watch out for their own security they would have a very different view about wanting to be armed. You'll notice all the gun grabbers, not just the politicians, but also all the uber rich that know what is best for everyone like Soros, Bloomberg, Zuckerface etc. All have their own private little mini armies of gun toting "ex Israeli special forces" or some such in addition to having as much "law enforcement" protection as money and political influence can buy.
Take that away and make those that write the laws have to protect themselves from the consequences of their votes or actions.
If you don't know taxing products or companies taxes individuals, maybe you should run with Elizabeth warren in 2020.

I've called him a few times and written him too. Can't get him to listen or even do his fucking job as a representative for me to the VA. So I know I'm not represented. I'd stop paying taxes to 'em if I could. No taxation without representation.
