That's a good deal but I decided to go with the 178gr. If they dont shoot good in my new RPR I'll be in for a hundred.

just to ask have you tried the 150 gr bthp fedral american eagles just asking i recently picked up both the 168 smk bthp and for 1/3rd the cost the 150's i am assuming your shooting 308 from your rpr . i was happy to find mine shoots the 150 and the 168 at 100 and 200 yards with a 1 in 10 twist nicely no key holing and to me pretty nice groups, im a new shooter so it could always get better , I just find the extra cost of the smk's a little hard to digest with no real ( huge) improvements between the two.
To answer your question, I don't believe the Federal makes American Eagle 150gr BTHP. They use a mass produced FMJBT bullet, which is not near the bullet design of the 168gr BTHPs the OP is selling (for a good price I might add). You probably wont notice it at 100-200 yards, but start going 400+ and the difference will be very noticeable. I will buy bulk 150's to load for practice rounds or when my friends want to mess around with my rifle. But use Hornady or Sierra BTHPs (168 or 175/178) when I shoot.

you were correct the 150's are not hollow points . shame they are not still have not tried past 600 yrds yet. one day
