1. Don’t throw an offer out on the public screen, shoot a PM so that way it can be discussed there.

2. If the offer is not for asking price, don’t throw a fit if someone else comes in and snags the item ahead of you — before you have agreed to “take it.” Too many people lose deals from tire kickers.
