New 2019 firearms you’re interested in that are under $1,000?

The Walther Q5 Match steel frame is on my short list of guns to check out in 2019. Not sure on price at the moment, but I doubt it's over $1k.

Edit: Lowest price is around $1300. Gonna skip it for the money myself.

Saw one of these for sale over at Brian Enos forums. I believe it was $600-$700

Ruger American Pistol 9, and Ruger PC Carbine, both together for just under $1000 list, and a $25 mag well adapter for the Carbine makes them both work interchangeably with the same 17rd magazines.

As precision firearms, they may miss the mark, but not by much. For those days when LR is just not on the menu, they fit the bill nicely. Mine do passably well with 124gr RN.

They are also more fun than a barrel of shaved monkeys.

I am looking hard at that new CZ 457 MTR, maybe a Rock Island 1911 Tac. I want a Vudoo also but that exceeds the $1k budget limit. I try to buy two or three each year. Been on a rimfire kick for several years. Last year was a 17 Mach2, a CZ452 American 22lr and a Rem 700 Tactical in a Bell & Carlson stock in 223. No new hand guns last year.

Guns on my list...

Zenith MP5 Clone
Daniel defense mk18
Glock 19 Roland special

All those can wait.... my main focus this year is to get into night visions

Soooo nothing under $1K

Good luck on the Z5P! I want one to and have been waiting for 2 years. I think I may even go PTR over the Zenith just because I can get one of those. I also want a GHM9 and MK18 as well. Haha.

They got a lot of bad reviews... but mine runs like a little typewriter with the X-key held down!

Very fun. Wish I had bought the real deal before they became $25,000... The semi is a hoot! For $400.

Cheers,

Sirhr

Yeah, I’ve always wanted the real deal and had hopes for these clones but have stayed away for reasons you mention.

Well, I expected the worst... but figured that the workshops here at Schloss Nitrocellulose could make anything work. But didn't need to!

But was surprised and happy! What's the worst you get... a project for the price of a case of cheap wine?

Go for it! They are a hoot!

Cheers,

Sirhr

Where can I purchase? Needing a cheap truck gun! Does it come with a gold chain or tooth?

not sure they would count on anyone else's lists but
1. 1885 Remington conversion in 45 lc
this one is deferentially not under 1k , more a cross off the bucket list
2. shilo sharps 45 70 1874 QUIGLEY in particular.

I would be interested in one if they designed an arm brace that looked like the original folding shoulder stock.

a Taurus raging hunter that I keep seeing in the gun store for less than a few hundred , a Taurus 692 for 600 and a ruger 5.7 for a couple hundred , the rest of my wish list are all old guns but they would be new to me . like the m1 garand that I may be able to pick up for a 1k ,

The MP-40/MP-38, complete with their stamped steel, fully mechanized mass production process, probably seemed quite futuristic when they were introduced during their time. The main infantry long arms fielded by every military force in the world during that era were basically still 19th century rifled muskets upgraded with bolt actions and more capacity. Some, like the Mosin Nagant represent a firearm design that had not changed for the past 300 years, excluding the action and the cartridge.

The MP-38/MP-40 probably elicited the same reactions during their day as the first AR-15 and AR-10 in the late 1950's...

A 16” version of my cz457 at-one.

seriously though, i need thermal clip on in my life and thats 4k on the low end and im needing to sell some stuff to pay off my m16!
Reality is, i ain’t buyin shit until my m16 is paid for and then i can think about thermal, i might have to sell one of my trucks that im not using.

I would like a farm rifle, light and handy, built to take some abuse. #1 choice, a Ruger Predator, .223 with the AR mag, topped with a SWFA 6x. #2, a CZ carbine, 223 topped with a Leo 4 or 6X. Ruger will probably win the coin toss due to the threaded muzzle, plastic stock and will use Magpul mags.

Either can be done for less than a grand. Easy.
