Could equally belong in the stupid questions section but: What are the significant differences between those NF lines in quality/performance from your experience? Are the price jumps
worth it more from one category to another?

glass, reticles offered, size, weight, magnification, tube size, amount of travel, etc. they are all 3 different in every way except that things that make NF who they are. you can't compare a SHV to a NXS, and you can't compare a NXS to an ATACR. All 3 are great scopes, but they are in 3 different markets.

SHV: Nightforce quality. Simplified features. Reduced number of options. (I have one on a hunting rifle, and one on an occasionally used target gun. Great value.)

NXS: Super durable. Proven product. Plenty of SFP options. (I have owned one, but have upgraded to ATACRs, mostly.)

ATACR: Incorporates best current tech - better glass, more adjustment, faster dials, FFP options. (My favorite scopes.)
