Need help with precision rifle cleaning supplies

I'm getting ready for my 6.5 CM Jon Beanland just finished. However I have no supplies to clean and service it. Anyone help with a list? Also, I know a bore guide is on there, need help with brand. Ive seen Lucas but cant tell if he is still making them?

A lot of us like the Bore Tech products. I use them. But, my rod, rod guide, and attachments are from Dewey Rods.

I have a couple of action specific bore guides from Brownells. Forgot who makes em but they’re around $25-$30. Possum Hollow I think but they’re machined nylon

Lucas BG, Dewey coated rods and Boretech, Wipeout or KG products have worked for me and many others. Minimum cleaning like, every 100 rounds or when accuracy drops, whatever, along with bronze or nylon brushes or brushless with VG pellets all seem to be "the best" fine with different great shooters.

Bore snake in a pinch but not as a matter of course I wouldn’t think. Jack up your muzzle crown is the word on the street....

Bore tech eliminator for sure. I’ve used a ton of different things and this is by far the best IMO. You can do a quick clean to knock out the carbon or get a nylon brush and go to town to remove copper. It won’t hurt the bore if you leave it in for a week as well.

Not necessary, but if you go with the Bore Tech eliminator, grab their proof positive jags too. They won't give you the false positive copper reaction with the solvent like other jags will.

I second the boretech eliminator.. It's good stuff. If you get the Dewey rods, get the aluminum jags to prevent false positives for copper fouling. I'd get the boretech rods and proof positive jags though over the Dewey. Either is fine though.

Yea the false blue got me at first. After using it for a bit you can see the difference in the light blue of the brass and the dark blue of the copper.

I use cartridge specific Lucas Bore Guide, Bore Tech Eliminator, and coated Dewey cleaning rod with non-brass [maybe aluminum] jag to eliminate false positives.
