17 fireball

Very hard to find.
You can make it from 221 Fireball brass.
Run it into your seating die with the stem removed. That will take it to 18 or 19 caliber.
Once you do that, one pass through the sizer and you have a 17 Fireball.
Check loaded round neck diameter. It should be good if you have a factory chamber.

Thanks! I can turn the necks if need be

I bought a forming die from Bullberry barrel works. It’s a two step die. Run the case in one end and turn it over and run it in the other end. Thanks for the advice on the seater die

That Bullberry die is great. You won't need to bother with the seater die for forming.
I've also made cases from 223 into 221 Fireball, then 17 Mach IV.
They work great but need the necks turned.

The key to necking down is to go slow into the die. It allows the brass to flow properly and keeps the necks and case mouths straight.

Ok I had them annealed ran them through both sides of the bull berry then when I run them through my sizer I am getting a bump below the neck and they won’t chamber does anyone have any advice? 40E69457-83B6-463D-AD32-E4364AE7D558.jpeg
