Join contest SubscribeMy 6.5 Creed brass won’t grow to even minimum trim length. That’s with 5 firings or so already. Minimum is 1.910 and I’m stil at 1.905.
This caused me a pretty nasty carbon ring in my opinion with it being short.
IT WONT GROW.
Lapua brass won't stretch like Hornady's and other's
Make sure you bump the shoulders back .002-.003 every time or two - ( important )
and check length at first, to get the few odd ones.
I do anneal every time.
I think I've had 15-20 loads on mine and only trimmed once. Good stuff.
I have in the past. Now with some smiths chambering NT , "no turn" chambers
it's not needed with some of the higher end brass (Lapua, Alpha and maybe a few others )
A FL bushing sizer won't FL size the entire neck. It will leave a very small amount
just above the shoulder that the bushing will not size. Only a FL non bushing
sizer will size the entire neck and bump the shoulder back all in one stroke.
I've seen some really good shooters not neck turn and get really good results.
If you shoot 600-1000 F-class or Benchrest, then yes, if your an average shooter
then no. If you have never done it and use good brass, then don't unless you
feel it's needed. Cost's a little up front and time to do it right.

Didn’t think Giraud made a 6.5 trimmer.Same on Peterson brass. When I first got them I trimmed them all to .910 with a Girauld. Wish I hadn’t; they’re too short to chamfer on the Giraud.

Necks not growing is not a bad thing, just don't over trim the first time...
Giraud does make a 6.5cm trimmerDidn’t think Giraud made a 6.5 trimmer.
