Does anyone know of a source for Redding type S 224 full length sizing dies? I cant find them in stock anywhere.
Are 224 Valkyrie dies made of unicorn tears?

Redding actually makes great dies, they don’t suck. For a non bushing FL sizer the Forsters are just a little better, just like for a micrometer seater the Redding’s are little better.
I own tons of Redding, and I’m done buying them unless I must due to their vast cartridge menu. The worst internal finishes on the market imo, yet still very expensive.
The problem is Forster doesn't make a bushing die and that's what I am looking for. Whidden makes one but its over priced.
Why do you want a bushing die? Run a neck mandrel after sizing and it gives you better consistency for neck tension anyway and doesn’t matter if you’re over sizing it down, in fact the mandrel works better when the die squeezes the neck more. Forster FL dies and Sinclair mandrels are the shit.
Looks like a FL whidden vs a Redding type S full length are only about $20 apart. This is for the sizer only.
I’m familiar with their QC issues for sure. Mine happen to work fine, but I’d understand anybody’s hesitation in buying them.
I made this same switch and it is amazing. I removed the expander from the sizing die and use the Sinclair madrel to expand. It was immediately apparent when I seated bullets. I also noticed a slight reduction in runout.
All four sets of my Whidden dies have been perfect. And the click to adjust system is awesome. I understand some folks have had issues but they seem to be the minority.
To the OP, if you're set on a Redding Type S die Grafs has a special run of the sizer only. I haven't been able to find them anywhere else. Link, but they're out of stock. I went with the Whidden set for my Valkyrie and I couldn't be happier.
