I am rebuilding a 10 BA Stealth for my wife and am not appreciating the flex of the stock chassis around the bipod with a heavy barrel. How does the MDT LSS-XL compare - is it going to twist/flex like the stock Stealth chassis does?

If I twist on it as hard as I can I can see perhaps .02 to .04 (estimated flex) where I mount the bipod.

  1. That is many times what it would experience in normal shooting.
  2. It clears the barrel by a long way.
  3. The chassis bulks up a lot as it gets near the receiver.

The XLR Element is a good option within the same price range. It has a beefier stock. Have one on my Savage 12 LRP with 26 bull barrel and it handle the weight with no issues.

No direct experience with the Stealth, but I had a Savage 12FV in a LSS-XL and had great results. Probably boiled down more to the skeleton stock (I had a gen 4, not the current gen 5) than the chassis, but I found the extended length beneficial with the 26” barrel.
