Rifle Scopes Scope with Tooless Zero Stop

hi all,

I'm just curious, would you guys recommend the tooless zero stop scope? So far I only know 1 of them which is Tangent Theta thing but that's an arm and leg in cost. Any other one would you recommend? Or any pro and con about it?

I have never tried it but I thought it's pretty convenience.

How often are you changing your zero?

I swap my optics onto different rifles a decent amount, and while the TT tooless zero is nice, I value other features more.

Also, TT is the only optic worth having I have heard off with a zero stop.

US Optics B series scopes are technically tool less. They give you a tool, but you can do it without it.

I just set my zero stop ~1 mil below my actual zero and never screw with it again. Keeps things simple.

This is what I did also. If I have any small variations in zero from my different lots of ammo or powder I just make the adjustment and adjust the turret. The one scope I have that I can remove the turrets without any tools is my Weaver tactical. The reticle is not that great on it though. Quite a few of my other scopes just have a coin slot and the ones that don’t all use the same hex key so it has never really been a big deal. I always have a field tool kit in my bag and have yet to have an issue that I couldn’t fix with my tools on hand.

I run Bushnells, and they all have the coin slot (except the Forge on my 22), and I just use my palm to tighten the retaining screw on the turrets. Doing that allows me to remove that screw with my hand if needed, so unless it's being particularly stubborn for some reason, I don't need any tools to reset zero.

Where I’m at, I’ll have to fly to the closest dealer, and it’s too much money to put down just to check it out, and possibly return it unmounted the next week.
Online videos are great, but I’m looking to see if the price difference in top tier optics is worth going to the “top of the top”. I currently run a Vortex Gen 2, and a Swaro X5. My consideration is getting rid of the Swaro in place of the IOR, as the Vortex was an anniversary present.
Thoughts?

Tool less zero stop? Not that i have seen. Tool less turret covers, there are few. I keep the tools I need for the turrets in my stock pack. Plenty of room for a nickel or an allen wrench. I carry a swiss army knife so the nickels stay in the ash tray. LOL.

Its not tooless per se, but the K525i from Kahles has a little magnetic compartment built into the illumination turret cap that holds a really nice scope tool. I love this feature, and think Kahles should brag about it a little more. I didn't even know about it until I had my scope in hand. Now I always have my tool, which is nice because I run 5 different barrels on my two TL3s.

Yes, I meant tooless turret cover. I saw the TT is really great and easy to change. I'm planning to run different caliber on a SRS and thought it'd be really good with the tooless cover so I can set and reset 0 easily. Plus sometimes I forget the allen wrench or dont bring it with me etc.. I just thought it's more convenience

I haven't seen that feature from the K525 yet but would check it out.

The tool in the kahles is nice, but the metal is a little soft. You can round it off. Thankfully the tool rounds off and not the screws.

Been meaning to email kahles the suggestion to make the tool a bit more durable. The idea behind it is genius.
