I'm looking to build a swtich barrel setup and need to be educated. I'm thinking something like a bighorn action with interchangeable bolt heads. I like the idea of being able to shoot multiple rounds from the same action and stock. Kind of a broad question but I'm looking for some one to point me in the right direction to get started. Thanks in advance

Barrel changes in the Vector are about as easy as it gets. Loosen two set screws, unscrew the barrel, screw new barrel on, re-tighten set screws.

Here's a video showing ease barrel change, and what you can expect in terms of change to POI.

The Vector does not have a floating bolt head, so unlike the Bighorn you'll need a separate bolt to change from .223 to .308/.6mm/6.5mm etc . . .

Thanks for the input. I'll have to check out the vector and price out the difference between the bighorn bolt heads vs a vector bolt. I think I like the controlled round feed on the bighorn though...

You won't go wrong with either. Biggest difference in function will be the bolt throw - 60 vs 90 degree.

Out of the three options, I believe the Vector will be the best option. Several companies are making prefit for it now.

I currently have the barrel nut barloc as I got it before Origin prefits hit the market. It works but I would not call it a quick changing. The shoulder version is a little fast but there’s alway a slight change in zero (0.1 - 0.2 mils). I no experience with the wto.

After I shoot out this barrel, I’ll be going shoulder prefit exclusively. With action wrench and viper barrel vise, a barrel change takes 5 minutes and better RTZ.
