224 gun

I played with one at SHOT this year and it is indeed a SA. Savage has decided to be confusing and eliminate the 10/110 model lines, now calling them all the 110's. From an aftermarket parts manufacturers standpoint, this makes compatibility tricky to understand and we have to do a lot of explaining to customers to ensure that we're on the same page.

Also, a 224v in a LA would be the epitome of hotdog in a hallway :)

Makes it even worse that they used to only make long actions.

I've got a 22-250 in an old 112 long action. Try looking up 112 parts, you'll never find the bull barreled varmint models, only the 338 Lapua stuff.

Since Savage is part of Vista I only expect more silly decisions. Knowing people who work for a few Vista companies they're incompetent of hiring decent management.

Thanks. probably gonna go with the lss-xl since i eventually want a longer barrel. what mags will work with this round in your chassis? also, how did it feel?

Good to hear and let me know if you have any questions about the LSS-XL GEN2, I know that chassis very well.

There is no perfect 224v mag yet, but guys are having luck with some of those modified by Buck at CHPWS or others are using kits designed for the 6mmBR and Dasher.

The rifle felt much like any other Savage SA.
