New guy from nc.

What's up guys, been snooping around for a little bit, figured i should introduce myself.
I live in central NC and have been hunting and shooting my whole life, since turning 21 a few months ago I got my ccw permit and started really working with pistols a lot, as well as getting a few cans rolling.
Recently I've gotten the bug to get in to long range shooting (I've shot 200 yards regularly on a neighbor's property but I've never considered that "long range"). I bought an optic from a user on here last week and will try to pick up a rifle in the next week or so, along with rings/base/bipod.
I think the biggest problem I'll have is gonna be finding somewhere that's semi convenient to shoot (the range I'm a member of only has a 100 yard range and the closest 1k range to me is about 2.5 hours away).
Anyway just figured I'd introduce myself and I look forward to learning the process of long range shooting.

Welcome from upstate SC. I don't know how far Warrenton NC is from you but Frontline Defense has a good reputation. I haven't made it up myself but rumor has it they gave the green light to .338LM on their range & plates so it is now a legit temptation.

Welcome from just across the NC/VA state line. I'll also be at Frontline this weekend in squad 5. I've also been contemplating a membership there. At a 2.5 hour drive, it's a nice day trip to get some long range practice in.

Welcome from Chapel Hill. I’m a member at Frontline Defense and it’s the real deal. I drive up there about once a week and there’s nothing like banging the 1000 yard plate...

I shot the Absolute Zero Sniper March last Saturday and the COF was amazingly hard. For example, there was an 8” steel plate at 800 yards and I was lucky enough to put 2 rounds on it with the wind whipping up.

Let me know if you need any help sorting out precision rifles or anything else. I’d be glad to help you get started.

I'm in Sophia, I would have close to 1000 on my neighbors farm but they put the bypass in cutting his fam in half now the farthest I can get without shooting at the road is 200.
I'm looking at frontline and curious about what hawks ridge has to offer.

Cool deal, no one ever knows where Sophia is lol. I wish there was a good option for long range closer, the range I have 10 minutes from my house only goes out to 100.
