So I was at the local Cabela's the other day to pick up a bipod, and the only Harris that they had that swiveled was one that was in an open package, that someone had either opened and looked at, or returned (it looked more like a return to me). So I passed and didn't get one. But, they had a whole rack of Caldwell and some other brand. Are Caldwells decent? I'm assuming that a swivel is better than a non-swivel due to uneven ground or tables?

Yup swivel is a great feature to have. What you using the bipod for? The Harris BRM-S is a good one as it's a 6-9" height with notched legs as the friction legs suck, and swivel. Another to look at is the Magpul bipod. Just got one and pretty nice for the money. About the same price as the Harris.
Mostly shooting off table in the backyard, so leveling them exactly isn't happening. (hence, the swivel) Looking for 6-9...
I wouldn't get a bipod that won't allow you to level the rifle.
The Harris BRM-S is a great bipod. But I would buy it anyplace other than Cabela's. Unless you like paying more.
The Caldwell is a Harris copy, but spend the extra coin and get the Harris. It will save you a few headaches in the future.
