Fun Police Gas Texas Tech

Sports Championships have just become an excuse for bad behavior. Crowds could gather in the street, drink, yell, chant, do all that and have the time of their lives, but instead, they have to set fires, overturn vehicles, damage property and assault each other. Since I policed in Lexington, I saw it all the time with Wildcat fans. It's a freakin' game, enjoy it and have fun, it's not a valid excuse to tear shit up. One thing few people realize, if you happen to own one of those cars overturned during one of these celebrations, chances are your insurance is not going to pay for it, because in the fine print a lot of them state they will not cover damage due to riot. Seen that happen as well....

kinda like if u own a retail business, the fine print now states they will cover no acts of terrorism.

As said above, Its Lubbock...what would you expect.

Ive heard that after Bobby Knight left they intended to rename the Red Raiders as the "Fightin Idiots."

I too am wondering about the title here. "Fun Police...."

I know better than to trust the media, but isn't reactions from the LEO's supposed to be like this, when idiots assemble and start smashing windows, burning cars, fighting, etc?

So the true method of prevention here, would be to ban basketball, right? Isn't that what you're saying? So that would make you the "Fun Police..." right?

As for the idiots that have to destruct and destroy,,, piss on 'em. Folks who smash into businesses and burn cars and whatnot ARE the problem. I don't care what their political beliefs are.

Burn baby burn. Fucking board full of ball sack sucking badge bunny conformists here. 1 fucking car gets burned and you all want the national guard called in.

Edit had to add ball sack sucking.
Actually, no. What I"m doing is asking "why is there a need to destruct and destroy when something allegedly "good" happens?

That is the base of my question.

How do you know it was someone elses shit?

Aside from the few times Ive destroyed my own shit in a fit of temper, I usually dont wreck my own shit, on purpose, even when intoxicated by a lot of alcohol.

On a side note this is a good reason for legalizing weed. If theyd all been stoned they would have stayed home and ordered pizza.

AJ, you're going to have to translate what you're saying into Canuckian English, because it sure seems to be that you're saying that "insurance scamming" is ok in your books.

By all means, show me the memo that I missed. Thanks.

I have no sympathy for people who riot over sports. I consider it the lowest form of communal idiocy next to flat earth theory.

You said "sports". Wasn't it basketball?
Please use the proper terms, as it leads to confusion.

I know about the biathlon and I don't find it engaging personally. You're entitled to your opinion and all of course, skiing is just otherwise outta place with the two pillars of manhood you mentioned. You're talking cocaine and waffles.

By "racing", I assume you mean motorsports and not running or downhill such-and-such faggoty shit.

Come on out @Cheyenne Bodie and we will go “roller-blading” Colorado back country.
Remember your safe word....... ? it can get a little wild.

I figured with a huge percentage of rural Texan kids (obviously not all), they would have better sense. I dont figure TT to be such a liberal nutjob joint like UT (dont tell momma I said so) or CU here in CO.

And @armorpl8chikn, you are right, the biathalon is awesome! Love to see the pinnacle of fitness and shooting skill all at once.

We did a rendition here a few years back. Backcountry skiing and .308 shooting.
Also did it with shotguns trying to trigger avalanches shooting rocks with slugs. No slides but dang it was fun!!!

Anyways, off to focus on stuff other than fools being fools

But that would be illegal. There are LAWS against that.

You mean like how sometimes you see this location that is really bad for a restaurant to be in, yet different folks keep trying to make a go of it & for some reason it seems to catch fire way more than statistics say it should?

Replace skiing with snowbike or snowmobile and you're back on track. Nothing quite like wrestling a 500lb machine with 200hp through 5' of snow at 10000'.
