Hello everyone, was wondering if anyone had any experience with 6.5 Creed and Alpha brass? I’m going to use Berger 130’s over RL16 with F210M primers. Guess I’m looking for a starting point. Previously I’ve been using Hornady brass but growing tired of the inconsistency of it.

Thanks Bill

Not using 130's, but my load with 140 eld-m and RL16 is 41gr (compressed) and CCI200 primers. Overall length is 2.82". Speed measured today (60℉) was right at 2700 average from a Criterion 23" barrel.

I believe most are getting higher velocity with less weight of the RL16. Seems like 1gr less of RL16 equals the same velocity as H4350.
Alpha LRP
41.5gr H4350
Hornady 140ELD
CCI BR-2
AVG. 2835fps
26" Bartlein
CBOG 2.243

Alpha SRP
42.6gr H4350
Hornady 140ELD
CCI 450
AVG 2835fps
26" Bartlein
CBOG 2.253

Hi Bill,

I'm using Alpha brass (SRP) with CCI BR-4 primers. I'm running RL17 rather than RL16 with a charge weight of 42.9 grains with 130 grain Hornady ELD-M bullets seated .020 off the lands (CBTO: 2.275"), getting single digit SDs out of my Tikka CTR 24" barrel 6.5 Creedmoor. My average MV is 2,852 fps with no pressure signs. My last 10 shot group at 100 yards gave me a sub moa group. Tested out to 925 yards with no vertical stringing. I can not say much about the RL16 but I am very pleased with the RL17 as of now. Not sure if this helps at all but figured I'd chime in.
